It's Ok You're Not Being A Bitch
Have you ever had someone say to you that you are being a bitch and you wonder, how am I? Well, you are not being a bitch, people just do not like the change in you. so that is their go-to name. Some people do not like when a woman stands up for herself. Especially when it is to an older woman or a mother-in-law. So she gets labeled as a bitch, because she no longer fits in with what they want. She is not allowed to stand up for herself. A mother-in-law will rather you be weak, an abusive husband will rather you be weak, a hateful boss will want you to be weak. Why? Because these people do not want you to be able to stand up to them, and put them in his or her places.

Finding Myself Again in the Daintree
To say that the last few months (heck, year or more really) has been a shitshow would be an understatement. In a world where abiding by the expectations of others has been the overarching presence throughout my life, I’ve come to a realisation that it’s time for me to take stock of who I am. What makes me, me.

How Practicing Better Self Care Is Saving Our Lives
I’m sitting here curled up with my laptop, working through some of my tasks, with Young Living Sacred Mountain essential oil diffusing, and I’m feeling awakened. Ready to share part of my story. I feel pulled to be upfront, open, and to truly focus on connecting with you. A few months ago, I had the beautiful opportunity to partner up with my friend Nikki from LoveMeTreatMe to work on a Sunday self-care series on my blog DoFiveThingsADay. We created this series because Nikki and I share a deep understanding that there is such a priority for self-care in our lives—that our lives actually depend on it.

10 Ways to Practice Self-Care That Aren't Pampering
I know we all love our facial masks and bubble baths… and we love curling up with a great book or buying ourselves little gifts and treats time to time. And though, those are important for us and our self care (because you should totally be giving yourself some extra love and spoiling yourself sometimes)—there is much more to making sure you are taking good care of yourself.

Why Setting Boundaries Is Important
Boundaries. This is something I give a lot of thought to, something I’ve quite struggled with in the past—in relationships, in friendships, with family, and at work. It’s led me to feeling drained and burnt out many times. I know setting boundaries with those we care about can be tough, in fear of letting them down, but if we don’t it can lead to complete exhaustion, and even resentment.

The answer is yes, and the best way to do this is through self-motivation. The Veil of Fear
We all have enemies in our lives. Though these enemies can be large for some and small for others, there is one that hinders all too many of us. It takes us hostage in our brightest hours to keep us from achieving our hopes and dreams. It makes us hostage in our darkest moments to keep us from ever seeing anything better. It makes us hostages when it matters most, and even when it doesn’t matter at all. Do you know what the worst part is? It makes us hostages, and for some, we can never get away.

Big D*!k Energy
Urban Dictionary defines Big Dick Energy as “confidence without cockiness. It is never misplaced, and it cannot be simulated. It is the sexual equivalent of writing a check for $10k, knowing you got it in the bank account.” It was something I had always wanted; the power and confidence that comes from within. For years, I had been imitating what I thought qualified you as a person with Big Dick Energy. I had been pretending to be things that I wasn’t. It wasn’t until I stopped all that bullshit that my sister (who incidentally has the biggest dick energy of all) blessed me with the crown of Big Dick Energy. The best compliment I have ever received.
