November is a month to watch: The football World Cup, the Global Climate Summit COP27, and the G 20 Conference
As we move into the fall of 2022, we should expect a lot of action around November's political, climate and sports events. Qatar will host the FIFA 22nd World Cup, Egypt will organize the Climate Conference of the Parties COP27, and Indonesia will host the Group of 20 (G20) most industrialized countries. These are exceptionally important events as the world is recovering from the biggest public health and economic catastrophe in a generation. My Journey to Getting a Literary Agent
Some writers write a book, query that book, get a literary agent, and a book deal faster than you can say Jack Robinson. And I can genuinely be so happy for them because that’s their journey and how it was supposed to happen for them! Not for me.

Designers, please don’t use Figma to showcase your portfolio
I love Figma. I’ve loved it since its inception, I’ve loved it with each update and I’ve loved (and love) talking about it. I do my utmost to champion Figma for those that only know Sketch. What I don’t love however, is the number of junior designers sharing non-annotated Figma links via email to showcase work. As Lead UX Designer, I’m not the only decision maker in my team, so what may appear quirky to me appears as friction for others.
