ENLIGHTENMENT
Imagine you’re born in a dark cave from which all of your civilization comes from. You live in this cave with all your family, everyone you know comes from this cave, and you abide by the traditions of this cave. Basically your entire generation comes from this cave and that is all they have ever known since they were born, you use fire for light, get your water from underground streams and make your food out of rocks. There is literally a whole city underground between the rocks and the darkness.

When the Laughter is Gone
Have you ever woken up one morning and realized that you haven’t laughed in a very long time? You think about how you used to laugh all of the time at movies, television, commercials, people, comedy and more. You ponder how the simple things in life used to bring you joy as you lay in your bed staring at the ceiling wondering what happened. Suddenly it dawns on you what the answer is. The answer is simple, life happened. The burdens of daily life have somehow sucked the happiness and joy out of your life. Think of all of the daily burdens and obstacles that most people have which contribute to ushering their minds into a negative place. Every day we worry about paying bills, inflation, recession, gas prices, our children, family and the way of the world. It might not be evident to you right away, but if you stop and think about it you will realize that it’s true. Before you know it you’re falling into that hole of negativity and wondering how to climb out so you can regain your laughter and happiness.

Do you have a procrastination problem?
“It is easier to resist at the beginning than at the end.” ― Leonardo da Vinci Do you have a procrastination problem? This quote speaks to me deeply because there are many times I put something off so long and once I finally get going, adrenaline kicks in. Or, if it’s related to health and wellness, I start to see the fruits of my labor and then don’t want to stop. For example, I’ve been wanting to get up and walk every day for the last year. But, I didn’t do it.

Controlling your mind effectively
Are you the master of your own mind, or does your mind hold that position? Are you able to choose what to think about at all times? Do you have no control over the ideas that go through your head at all times? Are the ideas that go through your head your own, or do they just occur to you as a result of stimuli from the outside world? Do you have the ability to turn off your mind anytime you choose? If you don't, the mind will take control of your life.

Staying motivated for longer periods is imperative
Consider, investigate, and contemplate your objective, and ask yourself whether you really want to accomplish it. Ask yourself whether it will be worth the time and effort you put into it. It will be challenging for you to remain motivated if, after giving some thought to your objective, you determine that you are not very interested in achieving it. Why should you force yourself to act in a way that goes against your will? It is essential that you choose a goal that is significant to you and for which you have a strong desire to work. When you have a clear idea of what you desire, it is much simpler to become inspired and to keep that motivation going.
