Getting to know music artist Newport Savy
Tell us about you: Newport Savy, I’m from Newport News, Virginia born and raised. I started making music when I was 16 years old, most of my siblings was big on music back when I was a kid and I always was a fan of rap music when I was young. When I got older music actually helped me get through stressful times which grew my love for music even more using it as a coping mechanism. I record myself on my own home recording studio because I enjoy having the free time to brain storm ideas and create new sounds with my music. I’ve been taking music seriously for about 3 years now and been making a lot of progress over the years getting closer into the music industry. What makes me different as a artist is I mastered my sound musically from lyrics, Melodies, flow, delivering, cadences etc. Im not just a rapper that’s stuck in one box, im a artist that’s creative and can get behind any track and make something of it. I don’t write any of my music anymore I punch in and out with my vocals, all of my music since 2017 has been genuine emotions that i recorded on the spot. My music is definitely a piece of art and all content I release correlates with my life or brand like a puzzle, i just leave it to my listeners to piece it all together. In the next 5 years I see myself as a millionaire working with major artist in the music industry and a huge fan base, working full time on music. I imagine myself with a huge home and a family with my dream car with multiple avenues of income. I want to create a record label and sign a lot of talented artist from my hometown area of Virginia to build a stronger music scene for my state. I want to bring more opportunities for upcoming artist to chase their dreams and educate them more on how to go about branding and marketing. Most cities that have big presences in the music industry have events, places and major artist that co-sign and promote the growth of upcoming artist. Where I’m from our artist have to branch out to those major cities to get the same opportunities, so I feel like my job would be to close that gap in VA and creating our own support system when I blow up and get in position to change other peoples lives. I want to accomplish becoming financially stable and wealthy, breaking my family’s generational curses of poverty. I want to become a multi platinum recording artist and to travel the world. I want to maintain a fit and healthy life and be in control of my own happiness. I want to accomplish having a fan base that stands up for me whenever names are being brought up in conversations about great music. I bring raw and uncut talent with a life story that motivates my listeners to chase their dreams no matter the circumstances. I bring reality, emotions, hustle, ambition, and pain into my music. My goal in the music industry is not to be the most popular artist, my main goal is for my music to be felt by people who come from where I come from. I want to be remembered as legend in the music industry who inspired people to change and better their lives financially and mentally and a business man with multiple successful businesses. I want people to think of me and remember how much I changed the music industry with my style. When it’s all said and done I want plaques, I want songs charted on billboard and want awards for my music.

Moneyville Recording Artist King Dot
Tell us about you: Moneyville Recording Artist King Dot Rapper/ motivational speaker and Radio personal out of Compton / Rialto California Currently staying in Las Vegas. I fell in love with music growing up watching labels and groups like Death Row,Roca fella,Cash Money,Bad boy and also No limit Records. Watching these labels made me feel like being a rapper was the best thing going in life. I fell in love with the image that was sold to us on TV but as I started doing music myself and getting into shows that made me love music on a different level because I'm able to interact with the crowd and see how they feel about a song at that very moment. I fell in love with the recording process and getting on stage and also doing interviews and promoting new music I love all those things about music. My love for music go beyond just being an artist it also play a big part in helping me when I'm in certain moods like if I'm feeling upset I usually go to a happy vibe type of song because I'll start to feel better. It's a song for ever emotion and a song to help you get through anything your going through. Music is definitely my first love for many reasons . What makes me different from other artist these days is the fact I still have a west coast sound most west coast artist sound like they are from the south the D or Chicago so that helps me stand out and the fact I don't sound like anybody else out so that also help me stand out. I think my music is the type of music you play when your getting money and just trying to stack your money and get a bag so I call it "Bag Getting Music". It's not all about killing and gang banging it's more about elevating your people so they can know it's better on the other side so I feel that makes me different from other artist alone. In 5 years I see my self head lining my own major tour hoping to have a few artist I help reach they goals I also see myself producing Tv shows and acting. I want to get into doing Tv shows like sitcoms and also movies also I want to growing my clothing brand Time Is Money into a house hold name like Gucci Polo Nike etc. Some of the things I'm working to accomplish in life is growing as a major artist and business man so that I can put my family in a better Position in life I see myself owning my housing and also my own tv network so I've been looking into online tv network so that I'm able to produce shows and Broadcast content that I fully own and have rights to. When it comes to the music world I bring the new west sound because lately the west haven't been having a great mainstream run passed the basic areas in the west I bring authentic and originality most people sound and rap like they favorite artist so they base they career and life on that artist. I'm different because I really don't listen to any one but myself so you will always get original music from me because that's what the music world needs. I want to be remembered for being exactly who I say I am. I want to be remembered for my music my clothing brand because I put so much work blood sweat and tears into those things. I want to be remembered by my family I also want people to think of me and remember a good time and laugh and smile when They think of me or watching a show or movie Im in or listing to my music. I want my family to know this hard work and countless nights of no sleep was worth it.

Getting to know music artist SAMBO
SAMBO, also known as Chikki Kush, is originally from the beautiful city of New Orleans, Louisiana. Throughout his childhood life, he faced different measures that would then have him and his family stationed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for a vast amount of years. Inspired by life in the trenches and experiences from living in two major cities in Louisiana, SAMBO is an artist full of emotion, culture, and passion. In his pre-teen years he practiced the art of poetry where he learned so much about how to orchestrate words and thoughts into one. Mastering the key elements of a poem soon became a science to him which soon motivated SAMBO to take further steps into making real music of his own. This was a challenge to fulfill a big dream when others chose to become involved in sports and/or careers that you needed extreme experience for. SAMBO grew up and became heavily influenced by a variety of down South legends such as The Hot Boys, Soulja Slim, Lil Boosie, UGK, Outkast, Three 6 Mafia + many more. You can describe SAMBO's word play as gritty, grimy, pain-filled, and lyrical. The "grit" sound is one main thing SAMBO brings during his song creation. It is hard to grasp when you first hear someone saying they're making gritty music, but when you listen to SAMBO, you truly understand why he's making a difference in the midst of today's sound. SAMBO's passion for music comes from industry tier artists along with local artists where he resides/ from. He has been creating for 6 years. Many would expect an artist to gravitate away from the drive of being a rapper during the long duration time. Often your peers would expect you to reach the top quickly, but he's in the business for longevity, not for the spark of fame. Although he doesn't have a favorite artist, he says everyone he takes time to tune in with has a solid tune that can stick with him and they create relatable music to his life. He uses music as a way to escape and release emotions. He describes music as therapeutic and a way to connect with a wide audience. To SAMBO, music has become one of the easiest gateways to create genuine relationships with fans and other creators. "I love the music because music is power, it's just a flow of different vibrations and sounds that can create imagery, change feelings, change movements, overall, make a change period. Music has always been changing things whether for the good or bad" SAMBO says. He connects to his network by feeding his fans and followers quality content, interacting with all of them, and promoting other artists in his city to his continuously growing fan base. In the meantime, SAMBO has a series of projects lined up for release while working on various content. SAMBO is also the owner of clothing brand “Nine Lives” that includes Men's and Women's fashion. Giving back to the community is one way SAMBO will better cities no matter what city it may be. Plenty things are going for him and there is so much more greatness to come. SAMBO sees himself doing these same things within the next 5 years, at a more powerful level and consistent rate that can open the doors for others to become entrepreneurs. The world urges us to watch as SAMBO expands all across the globe. It's a great thing to see happening during his young career. He intends for others to learn from his music when they listen to a lyrical story that may be told over the 808's and hi-hats of a fire beat. He specifies he wants others to listen to his music and be able to know what their next move would be or turning nothing into something with the power of the brain. Believing in yourself is the only way to make it to the next level even if others may not. These are some of the life lessons you may apply to your life once you hear a SAMBO track. With hard work and dedication he strives to be one of your top go-to independent artists. Thanks to independent record label LARecordz, SAMBO is one of the missing key factors in the industry and southern region.

1 on 1 with Queen’s finest Rai Smith
What’s your artist's name and where are you from? Rai Smith from Hollis, Queens, New York Why do you love music? Music is communication. I love that sometimes the best way for me to describe what I'm feeling is through song. It’s a little weird but melody and sonic energy can often translate feelings a little bit better than a regular conversation. Music gives me a chance to say things that might not be the easiest for me to say. When I get behind a mic, it’s therapy. There are no limitations, there’s nothing holding me back, it's like the mic is amplifying my mind, soul and body to relay the message. I can be honest without ridicule because it’s my art. I honor and respect my process; sharing it only feels right.

People Who Inspired Me To Be A Writer: Ice Cube (rapper/filmmaker)
As a writer I draw inspiration from almost every avenue of art and life. My biggest influences for writing mainly come from film, literature, and music. When it comes to music I'm a nerd so I can pretty much enjoy almost anything and I'm respectful of every form of music that exist. The genre of Hip Hop is one of my favorite forms of music and when it comes to rappers, my top favorite rapper of all time is west coast Hip Hop pioneer, Oshea "Ice Cube" Jackson. Ice Cube as he is known to most is not just my biggest influence in Hip Hop, but also one of my biggest influences as a writer and storyteller.

Why I love the Queen
Here, in Britain, there has been an awful lot of celebrating going on this weekend, June 2022 as Queen Elizabeth II reaches the monumental milestone of having served 70 years on the throne. 70 years! Bunting has been raised aloft and glasses raised. Beacons have been lit on historical monuments (safely, of course) and concerts, displays and parades organised. Street parties have been held and a lot of good cheer has been shared the length and breadth of the British Isles. It has brought people together and it is timely with the years that have been spent virally apart to gather and revel with re-found freedom.
