Mindsets I Had to Kick to the Curb
Now, I'm not here to tell you that this will help with everything. I'm not here to tell you that happiness is a choice either. What I want to talk about are the mindsets we carry with us that affect our lives every day. The choices we make are important, and how we make these decisions are even more important. Here are the mindsets I had learned over time, and then had to unlearn.

Staying Positive
You probably hear it all the time,"stay positive" or "don't let people bring you down," etc. In reality, it's hard to focus on being positive when all it really is to us is wishful thinking. To stay positive, you have to better your outlook on life. Take it step by step but be more optimistic. Everyone will always stumble into a negative position, or problem. When you do, you should ask yourself, "What is the one thing that is positive/good out of this situation?" Instead of worrying, and thinking on the downside, think about what good can come out of it, and what you can do to fix it—although it can take you time to process your thoughts and feelings it's always good to ask yourself those questions.

Living a 40 Plus Lifestyle
I remember a conversation I was having with a friend about her struggles with her weight as she is 'getting older' and then she said to me the dreaded piece of information that turned things around and hit the nail right on the head, as to why she was struggling -

Things to Do When Lazy
Let’s face it, we all have those days when we just don’t feel like doing anything. I know I’ve had my share. When you’ve had a really long day, or you’re just too stressed to function, lying in bed for hours on end usually seems like the best option. But is it really?

The Danger of the Comfort Zone
The photo above pictures one of the seven wonders of the world, Victoria Falls in Zambia Africa. The picture can not, in any way, do justice of what I was able to see with my own eyes. The rainbow completed a full circle around the cliffs and the falls go for about two miles. The picture, however, was captured as close as I could get without plummeting to the bottom. I find myself doing things like this quite often, flirting with death considering—that is where I feel most alive.

Finding Home
Changing scenery is never easy. Moving can bring personal challenges, discomfort, and distance from your loved ones (both physically and mentally). It can place strain on your feeling of comfort and security, it can be frightening. However, it can also bring new people, perspectives, adventures, and growth into your life.

My Full Moon Affirmation Cleanse
With the energy that came in the month of October, I can say that this energy has impacted my life greatly. It has brought me to my knees and one point and I had to get myself back up and believe that everything has a purpose and I am grateful to simply be alive every morning.

Practice Makes Better
Once upon a time, I was sitting in my car, listening to tunes with my longtime friend. We were talking about some heavy stuff; stuff that most artists dwell and fret over. The stuff we all wish we could do versus the things we actually can do. The stuff that is so amazing about our own craft, and also, the really, really bad stuff too. The stuff that makes you want to give up. The stuff that can make or break that specific craft for a person.

Impactfulness
Impactfulness. One of those buzz-words, I guess, that people tend to throw around relatively loosely. But to me impactfulness means many different things. It means making a difference in your life and in the life of others. That is the message I hope to convey to you as you read this piece.
