Make Every Day Count
Make Ever Day Count What is the meaning of life? A question we all ask and face until death knocks on our door. But I have found that asking that question leads to nothing but anguish and a quest for perfection in life that isn’t there. I do tell myself that I am a Stoic, but not to the grand level of those such as Marcus Aurelius and Seneca. Or maybe I am? Much of what they say has become common sense in the modern world, while other wise words from them have not.

You Before Me
To my fellow struggling angels. You know who you are, the one who helps others out simply because it feels like you should do it or that it’s the right thing. You don’t do it for the gratitude of others, or their thanks and you don’t want anything from them, although your efforts being noticed is always nice. You’re those people others call selfless or angels, because you are always their when someone needs you.

The Meaning of Hope
Hope... such a small word, holding such great value. I remember the times where I had NO.....Hope I know Im, not the only one who has felt this way or a better way of saying it is "lack of feeling". The times where it's just an empty hole in your chest, a void where all dreams go to die. Nothing good ever comes from this deep darkness, only negative feelings are felt through NOT having this ONE feeling.

Truths from a Social Casualty
A "Social Casualty" or a "Strange Child" either someone will be both, one, or neither it still draws us to face a flaw in the flow of humanity which would be the way we run society and by the way that we face society. Just by the way we are affected by our self and the ways of how society may benefit us or hold us down just by being an existing somebody.

Leaves Fall On Their Own
Leaves Fall On Their Own Stepping on to the porch, there was no surprise hearing the familiar crunching of leaves sounding beneath my feet as I walked. Red. Yellow. Brown. The array of colors seemed to continue. The very large oak tree that stands in the middle of the yard had made plenty sure of this. My neighbor's oak and maple trees also provided its fair share of contributions as well.

Don't Just Sit There
Why is it that so many people have this foolish belief, that one day, their goals will come to them? It's like people believe that life will just hand them success, happiness, and their goals, their circumstances will turn around for the better, and they will live happily ever after. I'd like to say that I'm joking around in making such a statement, but sadly, it's the truth. The only action that most people seem to take, in pursuing their goals, is trotting on down to the local lotteries agent to buy a lottery ticket, with the expectation that a piece of paper with a few numbers on it, offering the odds of 1 in 7 million to win $1 million, will deliver them everything they ever wanted. To put these odds into perspective, you are 7 times more likely to be struck by lightning than winning division 1 in the lottery. Granted that there is always someone who is rewarded out of pure luck, but for most people, it's nothing more than week after week of having their hopes shattered. It's staggering to think that more than 1 in every 3 people are relying on a lottery win to fund their retirement. Now that's disturbing! Why do so many of us place our hopes of achieving wealth, success, and our goals, on a few ping pong balls with numbers drawn on them? One word; laziness.

Marked by the Mirror
I've been hearing folk talkin' about losing "COVID weight" often enough. It is in hearing statements like that, when I'm certain of the decay of the vibrant personality within some people. The topic may be their skin color, their financial status, their relationship status, or the way their hair currently looks. Weight isn't always the culprit, but negative thoughts tend to sneak in the mind sometimes, after walking past a mirror.

Stand for something
When it comes down to it, there have been times in my life I felt a responsibility to stand up for others. There are undoubtedly times where you will need to do this. I have done things like taking a kid who I knew nothing about to the bathroom in school to wash his face after being punched in the nose. I grew up with violence and always wore two shirts to school in case I had to give someone the other one. He had bloodstains on his shirt, so I gave him my extra after helping wash the blood off his face.

Redefining “Perfectionism” For A More Productive Life
What if I tell you reality is a construct? Your self-image, circumstances, beliefs, fortune, friends — everything that feels so unshakeable is but one version in a million other possibilities. It appears so solid because this is the reality you chose create every single day of your life; a version built on the foundations of your limiting self-beliefs.
