Starting a New Journey in the New Year!

New Year, new journey!

Hello, Vocal Media! My name is John from the Philippines. I am excited to start a new writing journey in this platform. I am excited to share my journey and connect and share with you my work, articles, and experiences related to graphic design, article writing, coding, and other ICT stuff .

My Creative Journey

My love for creating began even when I was a little kid. I started drawing simple sketches and doodles at the back of my notebooks. Believe me, I have drew more than copy notes in my elementary days.

Growing up, my passion for drawing has evolved into passion for graphic design. I started learning Photoshop and other graphic design apps on my own. Then I started designing customized t-shirts and mugs for gifts. Then I started creating original characters which I plan to share in the near future.

Aside from graphic design, I also fell in love with writing. From crafting blog posts to sharing tutorials, I find writing not only enjoyable but also a great way to relieve stress. Platforms like HIVE and Tangled have been incredible spaces for me to share my work, and I’m eager to bring that same energy here to Vocal.Media.

Tech Enthusiasm and Educational Goals

Beyond design and writing, technology is a huge part of my life. I’ve spent years teaching high school students HTML, Scratch, and Arduino, helping them discover the exciting world of coding and robotics. Because of my teaching journey, I decided to create JL CodeSpark. The website serves an additional source of information not only for my students but also for those who wants to learn coding from the ground up,

Gratitude for 2024

Looking back at 2024, I can’t help but feel grateful. 2024 was a challenging year for me. Then again it was a year full of chance to grow and explore. I started to explore opportunities on online freelancing sites like Fiverr, but had no success on it yet. Redbubble is another site that I've been exploring for quite a while, but so far I made only one sale. Despite the failure, I have learned some lessons that I can use to, hopefully, achieve more on these platforms.

Perhaps the best thing that happened or I did in 2024 is getting active in Tangled.com. I joined this platform in 2023, but got active only in 2024. A few weeks, or months rather, I was able to accumulate more than 100 Million Millix which is equivalent to more than $20. I cashed out $20 when I badly needed some cash a few months ago. At them moment, I have more that $40 worth of Millix in Tangled. I will write more about Tangled.com in the future.

What’s Next?

I joined Vocal.Media since I was looking another platform where I can share my articles and earn.I plan to share my coding and ICT tutorials, graphic design tips, insights into earning online, and other information related to ICT. I’ll also be sharing my personal experiences navigating the creative and online world. My goal is to create original and educational content that are also relatable and fun.
