Greetings! My name is John and my user name in Tangled Social is @jloberiza. I wanted to share with you my ups and downs in Tangled Social.

I joined tangled more than a year ago. At the time I was looking for an alternative platform to read.cash. I used to earn a lot of BCH in read.cash, but when BCH crashed a few years ago, it never seemed to have fully recovered. I was also active in the Hive community, but somehow,

Initially, I wasn’t too active, thus I did not earn that much. I became active only around the 2nd quarter of 2024. Then I made my first cast out sometime in September of 2024. The price was just about 0.0000001 back then.

I focused mostly on content creation. My goal was to post one motivational/inspirational quote with an image per day. That’s when I started the #365Quotes and #365daysofwisdom hashtags. However, I rarely did that lately. I also joined some #earn activities to more Millix. I also tried playing the games in Cobra Helix, but my laptop is just too slow.

NFT Challenges

I almost forgot, I won the jackpot at least a couple of times in the NFT challenges of Splot.io. I think I have to go back to creating NFTs soon.

Biggest Challenges

As I have mentioned, my biggest challenge is my old and slow laptop. That’s why I am using my tablet more often than my laptop to do my stuff in Tangled.

Another problem is we have quite an unstable and over-saturated Internet connection at home. This is some I have to endure for a little while more.

Another challenge for me is bringing in people into the platform. I am not really good at inviting people I know into Tangled. I just like people close to see what I posts.

Trading Experience

Last February I started trading Millix. I started with 8 Million Millix. In March I added 10 Million Millix more. I’m still learning the ropes and not sure of what I am doing. But it seems I gained another Million more or less. But if I get lucky tomorrow or in the coming days, my $23 dollars last month will turn to $28 or more.

Current Frustration

My frustration is on the current changes on the reward system. Although it’s logical to adjust the reward system, but it’s way to slow these days.

The problem is, we are paying the same amount per post and any activity, but the earning seems to have dropped drastically. One thing I notice is, it seems we are no longer being rewarded per view unlike before.

I think the users are also reluctant to click the emoji buttons because it cost 1000 Millix per click. Also promoting a post is no longer a good investment unless you are sure that people will react to your post.

I guess this is one way to make sure that each post is engaging and not just junk.

Still Grateful

Then again, I am grateful for Tangled. Especially that the prices have gone up more than 10 times since September of 2024. Although, at the time of writing, the price at 0.000001349, it is still way higher than the closing week of February.

If I sell my Millix at this point, I am still not on the losing end.

In Closing

I have to admit, there are times, I got frustrated. I even thought of stopping for a while, but someone threatened to block me if I go inactive for a while (LOL). Then again there were days that I went inactive due to my busy schedule.

With the latest changes that seems to have reduced the income per post, I wondered if it’s still worth spending so much of my time in Tangled…

Then again, I’m taking it as a challenge. I’m glad that I did not quit then. In fact I am grateful that I DID NOT quit. If I did, I will not be looking at an accumulated income of more or less $200 right now.
