So,There Is This Branch

And there it is

The Branch

Before I start work, now that the weather is getting warmer I go for a long walk. As the days get warmer trees are growing, and branches are hanging. Everyday I walk the same direction, and not paying attention I walk into the branch that now hangs. Of course, this startles me. For weeks I walk into this branch almost everytime.

I like to think of myself of being aware most of the time, but this branch kind of creeps up. It also reminds me of how the various twist and turns in life are. Most days go pretty smoothly. Every now and then there are bumps. But this branch reminds me of how unprepared we are when life takes over, and we briefly stop in shock.

Again, I am in control of my life most of the time. However, I have days, weeks, and sometimes months where uncertainity overcomes me. My heart, and mind are in many different projects all the time, so I am on a constant pace. Most people are involved in at least one thing, including work, and school. This is what defines us. Like the branch that hangs down that shocks me, and brings me to a rapid stop. There are times my life mimics that same response.

I love excitement, and learning new things. As I venture off to a different path, and embrace what I learn. Waddling through the turning roads, and feeling my way through the twisted limbs of the branches I find myself come to life. As we know life is a continouis learning tool. Sometimes I am in shock at what I learn through this adventure called life.

However, there are hard times that can make us come to a hault like the branch. Losing a loved one. Finding out you are sick, or maybe there is a long journey a head to heal. Maybe, even losing a relationship, employment, or failing at something you love. These are the hard times that take a while to recuperate from. All of these will bring you to a hault.

All of us would like to think we can go through life untouchable like a straight line with no turns. But in realilty that is not the way life works. Some of us have more curves in our lives than others. But everyone has curves. The goal is to make the curves a little straight when possible, and ride the waves when need be.

So like the branch that grows out from the trunk of the tree we must grow our feelings, knowledge, counciousness, become more creative in our lives, and radiate positive energy to everyone (all living things). While you are on this journey called life embrace for the branches that might bring you to a hault, grab onto what stops you, become more aware of your surroundings, and always surround yourself with love.

Hey! Little branch you grow so strong, and vibrant to behold. I see you stopping me in my tracks. I will admire you from afar, but still come back. I carefully brush by with little scratches. I ask you kindly not to act like a cactus. I know you have to be harsh at times, but make sure my wounds can heal with time. As I watch with amazement how strong you have become. I will enjoy our brief moments, until they are done. I know we can be strong for so long, but know that we need to rest to have more fun. Thank you for letting me appreciate your growth, and being there for me to stop when need be. Let's grow together, and see what becomes.

Bye for now my friendly branch. Until the next day we meet again.
