I sat there at the edge of the bridge with my scarf in my hand thinking maybe I should just end it all right here right now. The pain was unbearable. It was unlike anything I have ever experienced before.

Thoughts of rejection create the same brain pathways of physical pain

In that moment I had lost someone that meant a lot to me and the rejection hurt. Here is why...

Who told you that you would never be loved again?

Who told you that you would never find love again?

Who told you that you were being rejected and abandoned by everyone?

Who told you that you would never find someone else to love you like he did?

Who told you that you were unlovable?

Who told you that you were worthless?

Who told you that your life had no meaning without him?

Who told you that you meant nothing without him?

Who told you that your life meant nothing without him?

Who told you that you needed him to survive?

Who told you that you would always be rejected?

Who told you that no one loves you?

Who told you that you would end up alone?

Who told you that you were broken?

Who told you that you would never get out of this dark cloud around your life?

Who told you that your life would always be a mess?

Who told you you all this?

I'm not sure what lies you have been told or what thoughts are running rampage in your mind but as you can see all this built up inside me caused this gut-wrenching pain inside my heart that was equivalent to physical pain. Can you believe that?

These are lies straight from Hell and that is exactly where you need to send them back. The hardest part about recognizing the things we let into our hearts is that we never know we let anything into our hearts. They creep in during the stillness, quiet, dark moments when you leave the door of your heart open and they tip toe inside and cuddle you.

"It's okay to stay broken. There. There. Life's better in the darkness."

We have to stay cognizant of what we allow to come in and out of our hearts at all times. With the busyness of life it's very difficult but your life depends on this. Take at least 15 minutes of your time daily to self reflect. What is your heart saying to you?

So I leave you with these truths my beloved:

You are loved.

You are beautiful.

You are whole
