Self Care

Ready or not?

It’s been a little while, hasn’t it?

Life has you on a cycle — you provide, you give and give.

You’re almost the appearance of an empty shell. But for what?

Who looks out for you? Who is there to tell you, “Hey, it’s your time now”?

You’ve lost sight of yourself completely.

You’ve lost track of who you are, who you could be, and what is missing.

There is a misunderstanding when it comes to self-care.

Several misconceptions, actually.

Are you ready to go down the H2 rabbit hole?

My thoughts on self-care aren’t to promote anything extravagant, but simply the love you forget to give yourself.

We’ve spoken about mental health, haven’t we?

I’ve posted videos and motivational quotes to get you thinking, processing, and slowly understanding that you are worth more than you think.

In scriptures I would describe as ancient and sacred, we learn that our body is a temple. It holds something beautiful and remarkable — our soul, our spirit.

This life has many distractions, and society often misses the holistic meaning of this, describing it as self-worship — as if you are a god.

This isn’t what self-care is.

Self-care is the attention you give yourself. When everything in your life is working as it should, doesn’t it feel fantastic?

Your hair is healthy, your skin is glowing, your smile is brighter, and the list goes on and on…

What happens when you love yourself?

In my thoughts, it becomes clearer to see what your loved ones around you need.

They show the demeanor of everything being fine, but you can see they need love as well.

What can you do?

What will it take to make them smile, to show them they are worth it?

Is it something as simple as a hug, a meal, a laugh?

Is it a reminder that yes, they are allowed to do what they like during their downtime?

What do they like to do? What inspires them or helps them recharge and replenish their light?

Is it as simple as, “Come on, play us a song—yes, bravo!” or is it, “Hey, no need for crazy expensive products. Here’s an idea… let’s get you feeling better soon”?

There’s a saying: “You can’t pour from an empty cup.” What does that mean to you?

What analogy helps you best understand that self-care is about love?

Do you know what love is?

Have you thought about what it truly means beyond the words “I love you”?

Love isn’t just the words — it’s the actions behind them.

Are you the kind of person that only likes to receive? “Give me, give me, give me”?

Let’s learn a little about love. It’s the only way to understand how important it is for yourself and for those around you.

Love is…

Come over, let me make you a warm meal.

Love is…

Oh no, you’re sick — let me care for you.

Love is…

Is that a rip? Let’s get you another one.

Love is…

Hey, you didn’t win this time, but look at all the people you’ve inspired. Keep going.

Love is…

The way you love me makes me see myself through different eyes.

Love is…

I’m sorry — it wasn’t meant to sound that way. You mean so much to me.

Love is precious moments. We have the opportunity every day to care for ourselves in the decisions we make, and to reflect that goodness to those around us.

The memories we make — every scene cherished, never lost — become lessons of wisdom.

Have you done something for yourself today?

Leave your thoughts in the comments.

With love,
