RISE ONE MORE TIME

The Strength You Don’t Know You Have

By The khanPublished about a month ago 3 min read

There are moments in life when everything seems to crumble at once. Days when you wake up already tired, nights when your mind refuses to rest, and seasons when the weight on your shoulders feels impossible to lift. Many people believe that strength means never breaking, never falling, never struggling. But the truth is much more powerful: real strength is the ability to rise again after life has knocked you down.

Every person who has achieved something meaningful—whether in art, science, business, sports, or personal growth—has lived through moments of doubt. They have questioned their abilities, battled fear, faced rejection, and felt invisible or unworthy at times. What sets them apart is not luck or talent. It’s not even confidence.

It’s the simple, stubborn decision to stand up one more time than they fall.

Think about this: children learning to walk fall hundreds of times. But they never think, “Maybe walking isn’t for me.” They just get up again, wobble forward, fall, and rise.

Adults, however, lose this natural courage. We fall once or twice and think the journey is over. We tell ourselves we’re not meant for more, or that failure is a sign to quit.

But failure isn’t the end—it’s data. It’s feedback. It’s a signal that something needs to change, not that you should stop changing.

Life’s hardest moments have a purpose. They force you to grow into a stronger version of yourself. They shape resilience, discipline, patience, and clarity. Sometimes, the thing you think is breaking you is actually building you—preparing you for opportunities you can’t yet see.

You may feel like your progress is slow. You may see others moving faster than you. But remember: growth is not always visible. Seeds take time underground before anyone sees the first sprout. Muscles grow while you sleep. Wounds heal beneath the skin long before the scar shows signs of fading.

Right now, you might be in your “underground” season—the part where nothing seems to be happening, even though everything is happening at once.

This is where faith matters.

This is where discipline matters.

This is where rising one more time matters.

Maybe you’re trying to start something—a business, a dream, a routine, a new chapter—but you feel overwhelmed. Start anyway. Small steps count. Five minutes count. One paragraph counts. One workout counts. One brave conversation counts.

You don’t have to transform your life overnight. You just have to move forward today.

Some days, “moving forward” might simply mean choosing not to quit. And that is enough.

Remember this truth: motivation will not always be there, but determination can be built. You don’t need to feel inspired every morning. You just need to remember why you started, and remind yourself that your future is worth fighting for.

The world needs your efforts, your story, your strength—even on the days when you feel weak. Someone out there is looking at you and finding courage through your perseverance. Your resilience might be the reason another person decides not to give up. Even if you can’t see your impact, it is there.

Stand tall, even if your voice shakes.

Take the next step, even if your legs tremble.

Rise again, even if your heart is tired.

And when your mind whispers, “Maybe this is the end…”

you must whisper back, “No. This is my beginning.”

You are not done yet. You are still becoming.

You are still growing.

You are still learning.

You still have time.

Your future is wider, brighter, and more powerful than your past. You are allowed to rest, but you are not allowed to give up on yourself.

Rise for the dreams you haven’t achieved yet.

Rise for the people who believe in you.

Rise for the version of you who refused to quit years ago.

Rise because the world is better with you standing than with you surrendering.

And above all, rise because your story is still being written—and the best chapters are yet to come.

Rise one more time.

Rise every time.

Just rise.
