Painting is my Passion

My passion is painting, oil painting that is. Oil painting is an art form I picked up while in college and I’ve been doing it ever since. It has helped me explore various subject matter through different styles and it has helped me realize my true calling in life. Before I picked up painting I thought I was going to be sitting in front of a computer all day designing, but painting came into my life and gave me a focus. A focus that will last for eternity.

People should support my passion because with my art platform I teach others how to paint. I teach people different techniques they can do with oil paint. Blending is one technique that I talk about because this is the key to making a painting look realistic or getting a smooth transition between colors. I teach about the importance of having the right brushes and how taking care of them will save money. I also talk about how to prepare a canvas to receive paint. Buying canvases are cool, but knowing how to make them yourself is even cooler.

Another reason why people should support my passion is because painting is really fun ! It relieves all kinds of stress. Had a hard day at work ? Let's paint ! Too many thoughts going through the head ?Let’s paint ! Want to have a cool relaxing day ? Let’s Just Paint. I want people to know that painting can be used as medicine and you don’t have to put out tons of dollars for fun. Fun can happen right in your home.

One of my favorite things about painting is that it teaches people how to be creative. Everybody has seen the same idea way too many times. But with painting, you learn to use your mind to create. When your sitting in front of a blank canvas your mind becomes blank too, but what that does is it makes room for you to think of something beautiful to create. It helps you to use your imagination. It helps you to be original and next thing you know you are developing something new.

The next aspect of painting is really important. This is something that helps people from all walks of life. Painting helps people to express themselves. With my platform folks can learn how to communicate in a way they never knew they could. This can help with mental health. It can help people to better communicate emotions such as fear, love, anxiety, happiness, and many other feelings.

The most exciting part about painting is that once you pick up that brush you and everyone else automatically has the potential to become the next great Master Artist. You’ve heard of them, Leonardo DaVinci, Van Gogh, Picasso, and modern greats such as Kehinde Wiley, James Kerry Marshall, and Amy Sherald. I can help anyone who uses my platform to get to that level simply by sharing with them tips I’ve learned from being a painter for many years.

Last but not least with all the skill, technique and info I have to share on painting you can use it all to open your own business and create more income. One can create a community painting event, art camps, write books, or give lessons all on oil painting. This also can become something that you pass down to many generations of your family.

To sum it up whatever you do, when you add painting to the mix it brightens up our world and our world needs more art. By people supporting my passion that will enable me to help many others and create avenues for many lives. And that is my passion.
