No One Will Pay Attention To You Until You Go Viral
I've learned this over the past three years

In 2018 I decided to start creating content about financial education, to help young audiences broadly understand the financial market and subsequently build their income sources and achieve financial independence.
As in some places in the world I know the habits and customs, in my country, it was no different. People don't believe people who are starting a project until this project is visible in the public eye and starts to attract a considerable number of people interested in the subject.
From the beginning, I was considered to be just another YouTuber who is there to con people to gain followers, views, fame, and money. This negative thinking made my work be seen by the troughs, discredited, doubted, wasted, uninterested, and lacking coherence. But of course, amid thorns, there is always a bush and a plain that allows you to step on a light grass with no thorns to hurt you. That grass is a small number of people who always watched my videos, believed in what I taught, gave me strength, and grew with me.
My YouTube channel has never been as successful as the meme channels, gossip, or fun-based fake news spread on the web; I have always focused on helping the population to follow a path that in the future could help them take care of their finances and the youth to find a means to support themselves through the internet. My videos get at most 500 views after being published for months. Am I doing something wrong? No, I am not doing something wrong, I am doing something right in the wrong place. But since I love the audience, then I keep creating content even with a small audience.
I brought what I call, "a new way of looking at the internet in my country." But the country hates the things I do without knowing them.
My channel has 9,000 followers today, but only 30% of the 9,000 followers are consuming the content. That is not and never has been a problem for me. Because I didn't create the channel to gain followers, fame, or money, I created it to make a mechanism to help the youth of my country who have been abandoned by a totalitarian government (party) that has ruled the country for more than 47 years.
It has been three years now since I started talking about financial education on the channel. I have made over 300 videos without repeating a single theme or contradicting myself in any content. I have created several sources of income over these three years, all to help young people learn to create such sources as well. Only through this, I have been growing financially on my own, without needing sponsorship or any help with anything that was needed.
And as I said in the theme of the story that "no one will pay attention to you until you go viral." I am proof of that.
In my thoughts was always the positivity in winning in life with what I am starting, but it should always be me the precursor of this beginning and end, only taking GOD in command of things. To avoid people saying that if it wasn't for me you would be nobody, I have been researching and studying the best methods to go ahead and so I did.
Today, I am going viral. Yes, that is exactly what you just read; I am going viral all over the country. Young people and adults are contacting me to talk to me about what I am doing with the videos on YouTube or what I publicize on social networks. Thanks to persistence, patience, and love for what I do, I am about to make history. My channel is about to become the largest financial education channel in the country. In 32 million inhabitants, our work will surpass the work that banks, financial institutions, and financial kiosks have not done to contribute to the educational growth of the population.
Today I can't count the number of messages I receive on WhatsApp, Facebook page, and Instagram. I can't count how many calls I get from people wanting to know how they can start a new career towards financial freedom. I am receiving more emails, messages, and calls than many support teams from big companies in Angola.
What was not valuable three, two years ago, today is becoming gold. The pandemic lock-in was one of the great levers for my financial education project. The obligation of the companies to connect to the digital market because of the pandemic made the public stay connected to the financial education subjects.
I could stop making videos and talking about financial education on my channel at any time. I could delete the YouTube channel, after all, I don't depend on sponsorship to keep my stuff going. But for love, I do this work and the success is being seen in every corner of the country.
Nobody will pay attention to you until you go viral because every start is always hard. And if you are not persistent, you will never succeed with the goal you want.
I spent a lot of money in the last three years to maintain the YouTube channel, but today I spend less to earn more through my digital revenue streams.
Hurrah for the persistent and ambitious content creators around the world. To those I wish success.
