Meet R&B singer Lxttle Boy Blue

ARTIST NAME: Lxttle Boy Blue (lxttleboyblue)

WHERE ARE YOU FROM: Oakland,Calif./Hilo Hawai'i

WHY DO YOU LOVE MUSIC: Music, for me personally, pushes the bounds of what can be achieved. For me, it is the climax of achievements - it combines everything - arts, sciences, humanities etc etc. It is a way for emotions to be expressed in a most divine form. It divides people, and also brings them together. A story of infinite complexity can be told without a single word, in a mere moment. Music inspires everything, and pushes the limits of society. Music is not just art. It's also math (rhythm = fractions) and science (melody/pitch = sound waves). There are natural and explainable reasons why music is beautiful. It makes perfect sense. And yet it doesn't have to make sense.

WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT: I believe what makes me different as a music artist is that, I'm unafraid to bend the norms and I'm willing to experiment. A lot of times artists become complacent and satisfied with their sound and wonder why they lose fans or lose the momentum they once had. For me at least I appreciate and welcome all forms of art and music equally, Additionally, I think true artistry is a lost art within itself, a lot of newer artists will just go up on stage and have a backtrack and stand up there on stage and just have the crowd recite their lyrics. I have a live band and we practice four almost five times a week trying out new things and producing different versions of the same song and really letting the music speak for itself. Not every song needs lyrics or a part where you HAVE to be singing or rapping, you can let the song breathe. For me I've always liked a good breakdown or a 16 bar saxophone solo in a song and I've always wanted to implement that in my own music.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 5 YEARS: I want to be already in the entertainment industry wrapping my first successful world tour with a plethora of music awards as well as TV and Film awards and nominations. I want to be recognized and appreciated not in the music and entertainment industry but all over the world. In 5 years I would like to begin working on philanthropic efforts, by building several music and performing arts schools all over the U.S. and one in Africa. By then I would have met, collaborated and worked with everyone I once idolized and looked up to before the fame. I would be planning my last project and tour in 2028-2030 and getting ready to start a family.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO ACCOMPLISH IN LIFE: I want to win several Grammys, BET Awards, MTV Awards, and I would like to move my family into a better living situation. I want to spread positivity through music and art as well create a conversation for those who listen to my music or view my art. I want to influence, inspire and challenge the next wave of artists and creators. I want to connect all of my friends and family through my gifts and allow others to network through my connections and references.

WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE MUSIC WORLD: I bring electric energy and charisma that's been missing from the music industry. The real grit, not the fake manufactured stuff. I bring a bunch of new and fresh ideas and songs that sound familiar but are new to the world but old to me because some of the songs took me years and years to perfect.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE REMEMBERED BY: I want to be remembered by my music and not only what I said but how I made people feel and the many charitable acts that music has allowed me to do. I want to be remembered by those I loved and those that loved me as well. I want to be remembered as more than an artist. I remembered for being unapologetically me.
