When I first started my job, I was assigned to take part in the company's annual speech contest. I repeated that I didn't have the ability, but since there was no one in the department who was suitable, I had to brave it out and try.

Despite my careful preparation, things went wrong on race day. Standing on the podium, my mind went blank, my forehead was sweating, and my hands and legs were shaking uncontrollably. The encouragement of the host and the applause of my colleagues did nothing to refresh my memory, and the first speech of my life ended in a fiasco.

The result hit me hard and I was afraid of making a bad impression. On the one hand, there is a deep sense of frustration, and on the other, a deep sense of unwillingness. Is it your natural inability to make a speech? It's not. Even gifted people who want to excel at something have to be thoroughly tempered. And I'm just a dumb speaker, and trying to win the first time I go on stage is just crazy.

So I began to learn the skills of public speaking and practice them whenever I could. In the second speech, I was well prepared and won the second prize. For the third time, I was 0.03 points ahead of the second place and became the first place. From this time on, I became a dark horse in the company speech contest, winning three consecutive years. With my speaking experience, I began to host corporate toastmasters, anniversaries, and other events.

From the first stage incoherent, to the later effortless, even I can not believe that there will be such a big change. There are few things in the world that are perfect the first time. If you lose once, you will always be in regret. Take failure as a new starting point, life is infinite possibilities.

Only when you are not afraid to lose, can you have a chance to win.

When I was 23, I started doing paperwork for my office. I am responsible for all kinds of uploaded documents, official documents of cooperative units, annual year-end summaries, speeches of large-scale events, conference procedures and cocktail party speeches. I'm not afraid to write, but I'm afraid to revise. The feeling of being denied again and again made my "glass heart" broken.

Once, a year-end summary was revised more than ten times, but still failed to meet the requirements of the leader. In those days, I would go to my boss's office three or four times a day to see him cross out sentences I had struggled to write with the stroke of a pen. I listened patiently to his mistakes, his questions, and his notes. Everyone else is off work, I am alone in the empty office to change the manuscript... I was full of resentment, and I often thought: I'll quit!

But when the leader said that I changed to what time he would wait for what time, my brain suddenly clear, there is a voice rising from the heart: if I really quit, I will always be the leader's heart can not write a good manuscript of the staff, also will never get out of the shadow of the fear of revision. Yes, it is easy to give up, but if I can overcome this hurdle, I will have the courage to overcome more obstacles in the future. When I changed a state of mind to face, but found that the manuscript changed more smoothly.

I worked in that post for nearly 10 years, and gradually developed the ability to write and revise manuscripts. I became the unit of the pen, those by my hand into the type of words make me proud. Seeing these results, I'm glad I didn't really "quit."

Surrender when faced with difficulties, and you will always lose.

Many people envy others for their glamorous lives, but everyone has had the same number of opportunities. However, in the face of failure, some people flinch, some people fight more and more brave.

The former just fantasize about success in their mind. Even if they encounter a small slope on the road, they dare not raise their feet a little. Read such a sentence: "Some way is very far, walk down will be very tired, but, do not walk and will regret." Let regret become the outcome of a thing, or do your best to try, the choice is in their hands.

In fact, the so-called failure, not you do not succeed, but your heart is no longer willing to start again. Everyone has fallen, but not everyone can get up. But only by getting up can we have a chance to turn the tables.
