Now that I made myself clear,let’s get started with the basics.
-Exercise is the best medicine you can find to improve your mood and accelerate your metabolism.
-Protein is good and I advocate for fish or organic-bio meat or poultry.
-You should drink water equal to the number of calories you need to maintain your current weight.So If you are a female of around 30 years old you need around 2500 calories daily.Make sure you drink at least 2500ml of water daily.This is extremely important for your brain,mood and body.
Regarding the exercise you need.
Although light cardio as long walks or bicycle has many benefits for your overall health and mood your success in loosing weight depends not on how long you exercise but on how hard you push yourself.If you are a male you may love contact sports such as kickboxing,boxing etc.
Those are perfect to lose weight but Brazilian Ju Jujitsu is the king.It is even more strenuous than wrestling,it needs explosion and mobility.You can go as hard as you want,so all ages will benefit from it.If you live in California I recommend Art of Jiu-Jitsu Academy Costa Mesa but you also have other options.
Women love dance, so make sure to join a nearby dance class within a gym close to your house or work and go for it at hi intensity .Generally speaking do any sport you love but structure your work sessions around high intensity ,full body exercises such as squats.

Get rid of highly processed food and sugars.
You have to get rid of sugar(sorry sugar lovers) and starchy, gluten rich foods if you want to live more and feel better.Go for greens,raw nuts and fiber dense fruits and beans.I don’t want to complain(and I hate it actually) but reducing the intake of junk food and sugar will turn your body to a fat burning machine.
Especially if you add some hi quality protein to your diet.You need around 0,5mg-1 gram of protein per kilogram of weight.If you have kidney problems or any other special conditions-allergies etc please do yourself a favor and consult your physician first.
