Little Love, Little Nuts

Happy Bread Crumbs

The Marker of a Maker

This photo brings me pride and joy. Finally!!! I couldn't take the light lust anymore and decided to try comedy. It was an open mic night at the Boston Soul Cafe on March 14th of this year.

Just before the Stay at Home order was placed in Michigan I debuted as a comic. This night was nerve wrecking but I was high as a kite. The adrenaline of not knowing if I was going ot sink or swim was captivating. The atmosphere of everyone who came that I knew and loved to the people I met for the very first time. Typing this now is bringing me tears. Despite the madness and fear this virus have everyone in, I think about how that night I was given a chance. I was given hope, my childhood wish. I hang on to it for dear life; I know there are many more to come.

Another event that happened before the shut in was my second trip to the windy city. Downtown Chicago, Eric Nam was performing at the Vic Theatre Feburary 28th of this year. My second concert ever and I have only listended to only 2 of his songs at the time. So I had no idea who this person was or what they were about.

Token of Appreciation

However, as the cold ass night continued waiting outside the venue. All the fans were huddled together for warmth, not letting the frostbite sway their anticipation. As we get inside my friend had people she agreed to meet up with and chill but I didn't know any of them. I was too busy getting anxious from the shoving, crowding and distorted chatter. Sad to say this but I left her with her friends and went upstairs to breathe and sit down. Three drinks and two new friends later I was having a great time. I could see everything from where I was sitting and didn't have to worry about people touching me. The band before Eric were great I felt guilty not knowing who they were after there performance.

Once Eric hit the stage and this surge of horomones and adreline filled the venue. Everyone was losing their minds and I just wanted to know who is he. He showed us exactly who he was that night. He shined, he sparkled, he made the stage himself and encouraged us all to come and play too. It was a night I will never forget. It lit the fire inside me to be more expressive, creative. To be me.

Thank you xcandylovagrlx for the video.

Last but not the very least Dive Studios. I found them shortly after binging Eric Nam. Eric is not only a singer, songwriter, and TV host. But he also does two podcast under Dive Studios, along with other known idols. This intrigues me because you can visibly see how Eric has brought his family in his career without it being akward if you catch my drift. Especially under quarantine this man is working still! I found it impressive yet so simple.

They have created something we all do every now and then, even more so now and turned it into useful content. Seeing innovation like that makes me extremely happy. Why? I have absolutely no idea! If I had to put it into words I would say, they found a way to make use of their resources and not letting obstacles weigh down their hearts.

I know things are difficult right now. And yes, that was very basic of me to say but those tokens, treasures, or keepsakes of yours are who you are in the midst of madness. They are your anchor, your shelter, your shield. Let these pieces of you hold your sanity together and march forward to even more joyous days.

Thank you. Love you. <3
