What I know about happiness is that it comes within. No external circumstances can make us happy if we don't first focus on ourselves and what we want. Happiness comes from having a since of calm and peace no matter the situation around you. I have always been going through chaotic life events I have never been able to choose. I channel back to happiness when I am calm, present and grounded. I choose gratitude for the things I have in my life the people that make the hard times easy. I choose gratitude for having meals to eat everyday. The ability to follow my dreams makes me happy. But We only attract happiness when we find peace within ourselves. So many of us are drawn to the aspect of some external making us happy but that joy will only be temporary. Finding sex might make you happy for a moment but it will pass. Same with buying that fancy sports car sure its amazing but the happiness will be fleeting and no last. Chasing dreams and people might make you happy or chasing money. The moment you reach a goal your happiness will be gone and you will be on to the next aspect of your journey. Even love cant make us happy. Because it is nobody's job to make you happy but yourself. That's the thing in society we latch onto these things that create temporary happiness. On earth we are drawn to flashy signs and colors anything to escape the pain and hold on to the moment. Happiness isn't running away from your pain. Its acceptance that none of us are perfect. We are all human and we all carry burdens. Finding happiness is loving yourself despite the pain. Loving all parts of you the good and bad and knowing you are enough as a human being. Happiness is even when you breakup with someone knowing your worth and that you are enough. Happiness is the little things and moments that make life worth while. Following your dreams and jumping out of a plane can all bring a moment of happiness. But to make it stay its a relationship with learning to love yourself every single day. Every rejection, every hard break, every time someone hurts your pride. Choosing the love for yourself and knowing you are enough. It is surrounding yourself with people that will love all your broken pieces. Or maybe its finding one person that will love all your broken pieces. Its making every moment count and not taking them for granted. When you stop chasing life and start experiencing life you start true happiness. Happiness is connecting with your soul, knowing you have a purpose and trusting the process. And the journeys worth it as long as you love yourself every step of the way. We are all human no one is perfect. But life is short and everyone deserves to feel this pure happiness. Surround yourself with the love your soul deserves everyday
The things that make me happy and grounded that don't cost money or make me feel like my happiness is fleeting is making music. I think the moment I started writing music was a very personally painful time in my life. I have found when you write words down it can help you solve problems and that's what it means to me to be able to write and create music. Any personal struggle, I have gone through I have always written down and writing it down gives me insight on how to handle the scenario moving forward. I think writing is something so easy people can do to obtain happiness. I think writing is a very personal thing and their are several ways to write. For me its writing song lyrics, for some people its writing poems. Some people write what they are grateful for and it helps them remember where they are and be present and focused again. Some people write what they are feeling so they can release it to the universe and channel forward feeling more connected to their soul and their soul purpose. I also find dance has always helped me release whatever I am feeling into the world and just breathe in that moment. Dance has saved me on more counts than one from painful times. Music saves us too if we let it if we realize the song we are listening to probably has a message for us. We have to release our pain and be at peace with our inner thoughts and that is how to heal and truly be with our happiness. Everyone will have a different way to be present and connect with themselves but its so incredibly important to find that.
