Failure, Ain't All That Bad
I’m a failure. I won’t ever reach my true potential. This is too difficult. I’ve tried everything! Have you ever spoken any of those phrases? Have you ever thought those words after not being hired for the job of your dreams? Have you ever sat in your car driving home after being dumped by the love of your life?

Ken Jouself. Top Story - December 2017.
I guess it’s sort of a cliché to say, “confidence is key,” but as well as it is a cliché, it’s also very true. Someone told me that other day that people shouldn’t watch or go on social media, so that they do not feel less than another individual or simply insecure. I disagree with this concept. Now, I believe that people with insecurities should take steps to becoming more secure and confident with themselves and if turning off social media helps you, then by all means do that, but I want us to look at the thing we fear will create an insecurity and face that head on. Rebuttal the negativity with positivity. I believe confident comes with knowing yourself enough to see “bad” comments about yourself. To know others are not so fond of you and be okay with that because you love you.

What is Your Why?
Oftentimes we find ourselves stuck at a bit of a crossroad when it comes to understanding how to drive our own motivation. The simplicity of “Just Do It” can be complex all on its own which can cause those struggling with dim introspection to lose drive and motivation. Many can relate to this paradox with the goal of health and fitness. You might have said this a time or two: “I’m going to start working out at the beginning of the month,” or “ I am going to make healthier food choices starting Monday.” That illusive Monday never comes… Perhaps yours is, “ I want to lose weight, and I know I have to exercise, but I can’t exercise until I lose some weight first.”

I had this grand notion that with the flick of my wrist, the stroke of a pen, that all of these great ideas I had locked away would be done and completed and those I was tasked with leading would instantly follow. I mean, why wouldn't they?

Life Lessons: #1
As a nineteen-year-old, you may say that my life hasn't started yet, or maybe that you think I'm still ignorant of life and its life troubles. In fact, most will agree with this. I partially agree with this myself; yes, I am still experiencing life but what life has taught me in the nineteen years and six months that life is a wonderful platform where you can create your own story with the free will of choosing people how they affect your life, too. For whatever reason, you will always think 'why is this happening?' or 'what is the purpose of this [insert] lesson?' Majority of us will think life is cruel, but in reality, it can be used either way. You can either use your life experiences as a foundation to grow more; spirituality, physically, mentally. I have experienced all three of them that's for sure.
