Why You Shouldn't Settle
All too often, we find ourselves constantly settling for second best. Perhaps we might decide to settle because we have tried everything, drained every possible option, yet, nothing seems to be working. So we settle. We figure, this is what we deserve, nothing else will come along, there is nothing better. We start to make excuses. We start throw the blame around, much too often, landing it on our own shoulders. We convince ourselves that our expectations were too high, that we never would have made it in the first place. Settling is a terribly vicious, almost never ending cycle. Settling is also very easy. However, we should never settled (you should never settle) or feel obligated to do such. Why? Well, here are a bunch of reasons why you should never settle, for anything.

Most Inspirational Movies of All Time
Inspirational movies do more than just tell us a feel-good story. They give us reason to keep on going and believe that we, too, can achieve greatness. Being able to see characters overcoming epic struggles is what makes them great, and what makes us all feel ready to take on the world.

Liking Myself
At the age of 19, I am beginning to learn the benefits of liking myself, and more importantly liking being around myself. See there has always been, within my own mind, and freakish separation between the Hanna that is fully me, and the one who just needs to get shit done. Until recently I would go about my day fulfilling most tasks mindlessly, making lists to myself of everything I had to get done, then once I was finished with my work for the day, I would find someway to continue to push down the mindful Hanna, keep her down with television, scrolling through worthless content on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat etc. I would not think, I would not be alone with myself, rather I would turn to the noise of the world to drown out the person who I really needed to be a friend to.

My Ups and Downs with Self Love
It's safe to say that struggling with self love is something that all of us have dealt with at one point or another. Self love is a continuous journey that needs to be worked on at all times. A few years ago, I was in a place where I loved everything about myself, I loved everything about my life and my friends. I thought I was golden and nothing could stop me. Then all of a sudden, when I stopped working on my self love every day it all came crumbling down and I am still working my way up that battle to where I was before. As much as it is a let down, mainly because I can see a huge difference in my life and the way I walk through my day to day activities, I hope that I will come out stronger than I was before because I now know what both sides feel like: self hate and self love.

Twenty-Seven
There seems to be an interesting thing that happens to us humans between the ages of 25 and 29. For some, it comes a little sooner, others later, but eventually, we all realize that we are here. But what does that really mean? What does it mean to be here? And who are we really? These seem to be the only thoughts circling in my tornado of a brain for the past few months. Do I really love all the things I’ve always loved? Do I truly care about the things I once cared about, or do I care about them because I’ve been taught to care about them? It sounds crazy, but take a second to think about it…

Time to Say Goodbye
“How is it almost Christmas already?” “This year has gone so fast!” “Where has the time gone?” We get it. Christmas trees, carol concerts, mistletoe and mulled wine. Often the festive season is one of anticipation and good old treating yourself. But as the nights start to close in, we find ourselves fearing the inevitable end of the year. Another one been and gone, passing us by. Maybe some of us live with regrets from what’s gone or fears of what another year may bring.

The Meaning of Success
2017 has had its up and downs, like most years, but I feel this year was different from others as I experienced new things that I will slowly write about. 2017 has taught me real life valuable lessons that I will appreciate the whole of my life; it has definitely given me a better understanding about life in general. I feel this year I have discovered the meaning of life and what is actually important, and what I thought was important isn’t as important anymore for me personally.

Crossroads
What a big day for me. I am at a crossroads. The end of another year, Christmas and celebration looming. I do not feel like celebrating. No, actually I do. I am celebrating the changes to come. I am certainly not celebrating my life as it is today, but what is to come; well, that surely is worth celebrating?

Self-Help Things You’re Doing That Are No Help At All
If there's one thing that the internet has made possible, it's the rapid proliferation of bad ideas. We've all seen what happens when bad ideas take hold and spread, and you'd think we'd learn from it, but clearly, many of us always end up falling for the same bad info.

You Are More
It’s 2:54 PM on Monday, December 4, 2017 and it can be really hard to remember why your heart is beating today. Monday’s are hard days. You may still be in recovery mode from a really long weekend following a really long week of a really long month of a really long year. That’s okay. You are not alone. We all feel that way sometimes. And we all need a little help sometimes.
