Dedication = Wins
If you don't love what you're doing, or you can't seem to find the energy to do what you're doing... then chances are you're not dedicated. Dedication is a heavy word that many take for granted such as words like "love" or "loyalty" and even words like "on the grind" or "entrepreneur" written all over their social media when the most they do is respond to their followers and sell promos for quick cash.

The End of 2017
2017. I'm not going to lie. This has been one of the hardest, mentally and emotionally challenging years of my life... this was the year I fell into depression. A sticky, black mass of weight I feel is haunting my everyday existence and seems never-ending. The weight is suffocating at times.

How to Stay Positive After a Life-Changing Injury
For many, life is not easy. The majority of the time we can make it over most hurdles and shrug off minor bumps and bruises, but sometimes things happen to us that we can’t just shake. College Essay Example
My childhood was wonderful; I loved laughing and adored the feeling of belonging to something. My life appeared perfect to me, and anyone who knew me would have thought the same, because I hadn't known hardship, I was unharmed, aside from a few scraps on the knee. Yes, there were downs, like my parents’ divorce when I was young and the complications that came with custody agreements, though I still viewed my life as perfect. I do remember the nights of my parents on the phone screaming at each other as I sat in the other room, unable to understand how I should react in such a situation, but even after those moments, I still lived my childhood with enjoyment, believing that that was the worst of it.

How to Get Inspiration for Writing
Inspiration is very vague. Even as the quality of work, it’s subjective. We can say that a speech is inspired, or a piece of art is inspiring, but what seems to be an inspired piece of writing to me, might seem just a flatulent passage to you. A documentary about environmental pollution can inspire one person to change the world, but will have a discouraging and depressing effect on another.

If I Do Say So Myself
This is a talk for validation. To remind yourself that you are not the problem. You can be 100% honest, dedicated, loyal, but another person's 0% will average the overall score to 50%. Now you are 50% less than yourself. That is not at all fair to you, your heart, and your energy. Leave the people alone who cannot match your filled cup. You are the catch, the game-winning catch. You are not the catch of the day, but the catch of a lifetime. Here are three tips to remind yourself when you feel otherwise:

We Need to Embrace Self-Compassion, Instead of Chasing Self-Esteem
Googling self-love reveals that it has "often been seen as a moral flaw, akin to vanity and selfishness." This baffles me because regard for oneself and one's own happiness and wellbeing is far from a flaw in my eyes.

Chalk
When I was a little girl, I’d go outside with my bucket of chalk all the time. I tried making pretty pictures, but would always get frustrated when things didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to. After a while I stopped drawing with it. I started destroying the chalk, pressing it into one spot of the sidewalk, drawing a single line. It made chalk dust. That was the “scientist” in me. I wanted to know what you could do with chalk if you broke it down into little, fine pieces. You can do so much with it. You can make new shade of chalk, you can make a paste to slap on the concrete, you can make a tinted liquid for more transparent colors.
