Importance of Dharma and karma in life
Personal Development
We sometimes get the fruits of the karmas that we do in life.
There comes a time in life when car, money, friend, bungalow, fame, job do not seem to work.
Then only the deeds you have done support you.
Let me show you through a story that karma is above everything else.
There was a king and he had four queens. The king loved his first queen the most. The king used to take the queen with him wherever he went. Every time he went to war, to travel in town or abroad, to meet others, he would take the first queen with him.
He gave great respect to his second queen. He used to keep them with him when he was sitting in his Raj Sabha.
He loved his third queen a little less. Whenever the king had any problem, confusion, grief, the king would go to him and he would share his thoughts with him.
The king did not like his fourth wife at all. The king would never go to his bedroom, would ignore him if he came across him, would never even look at him and would never even talk to him.
The king ruled for many years. Until his death, he continued to love his first three queens but never called the fourth queen.
Once the king fell ill.
The king felt that my end time was near. I never called my fourth wife, did not communicate well with her. In the last moments of his life, I was talking to him like a king, when his queens came to his bedroom.
The king never brought his fourth wife before these queens. So he avoided talking to the fourth queen.
In a day or so the king's health worsened and Yamduto came to call the king.
The king said that the journey is very long, if you allow me, I will bring one of my queens with me.
Yamduto said this is your last journey, no one will come for you.
The king said I am sure my queen has never refused me the need will come.
As Yamduto said, call your queens and ask for your wish.
The king called his first queen with whom he used to travel abroad or travel to town.
He told the queen that Yamdutos have come to fetch me. The journey is very long. You will come with me.
Rani said excuse me maharaj I can't come so far with you.
The king was depressed. It happened to him that the queen I kept so close to him did not let me down. He did not lose heart and called his second queen whom he used to keep with him in the Raj Sabha.
The king also asked him the same question he asked the first queen.
Rani said I will come with you till the courtyard of the palace but then I cannot come with you.
The king, again frustrated, gave up on them and called his third queen to whom he would express his confusion, ask questions.
The king also asked him the same question.
Rani said I will come with you for a while then you will have to travel on your own.
Now the king was completely lost, leaving only the queens whom he loved so much to accompany him at the last moment.
He got ready to go with the Yamdutos and while he was leaving, a voice came from behind, stand up maharaj I will come with you.
When the king looked back, she was his fourth queen whom the king never even talked to well and always looked down upon.
The king in this story is none other than the human being himself.
The king's first queen with whom the king used to go on foreign trips and walks around the town is none other than the human clothes, ornaments without which he does not go out anywhere.
