50 year old Kev Crane life is fixing bathrooms, how the plumber who became a singer, never imagined that his life would take such an unexpected turn. For years, he worked tirelessly as a plumber in his small hometown, fixing pipes and unclogging drains.

It was a stable life, but it wasn't a fulfilling one. Kev had always loved music, singing in the shower or while driving his van, but it was never more than a hobby - until one fateful day when everything changed.

Every bathroom he worked in became his personal stage. His voice, rich and powerful, would bounce off the tiles as he sang along to the radio. Today was no different. As he tightened the last bolt, a familiar tune played, and without thinking, he let his voice soar. He casually singing to the music.

crane said "I was shocked when he said he wanted to hear it. He later pulls me into his office and told me, to my surprise, that he really liked my album.

"He offered me a chance to sign up to his label - it was just like that."

Unbeknownst to him, Paul Conneally, the homeowner and owner of New Reality Records, had been standing outside the bathroom, listening intently. For a moment, Paul was stunned. The voice was strong, melodic, and utterly captivating. It wasn't every day that a plumber with a golden voice came knocking at your door.

Paul stepped inside, clearing his throat. "Kev," he said, "do you realize how incredible you sound?"

Kev chuckled, shaking his head. "Just a bit of fun, Paul. I love music, but plumbing pays the bills."

Paul wasn't convinced. "No, Kev. You have something special. You ever thought about recording professionally?"

The words hit Kev like a jolt of electricity. Of course, he had dreamed about it - writing songs late at night, humming melodies as he worked - but he had never dared to believe he could be more than just a singing plumber.

One meeting led to another, and before he knew it, Kev was standing inside a recording studio, headphones on, microphone in front of him. The tracks he recorded left producers speechless. Soon, an album was in the works, interviews filled his schedule, and the story of the singing plumber spread like wildfire. People resonated with his journey, proof that talent could be discovered in the most unexpected places.

The momentum built, and suddenly, Kev found himself preparing for a tour. His voice was no longer confined to the acoustics of bathroom tiles - it was now echoing across music halls, filling arenas, and even catching the attention of Hollywood producers eager to tell his story on the big screen.

As Kev stood backstage on the night of his first big concert, he couldn't help but smile. The lights dimmed, the audience roared, and as he stepped onto the stage, he realized something profound: sometimes, life has a way of leading us toward our dreams, even when we least expect it.

Crane used to be in a cover band called "The Reprise" in the 1990s,

The transition from plumber to singer wasn't easy for Kev. He was no longer just the guy fixing leaks and drains; he was now a musician trying to find his place in the competitive world of music. The pressure was immense. There were long hours in the studio, learning the ropes of the industry, and facing the inevitable doubts that come with stepping into the spotlight. But Kev had something to prove. The music, the lyrics, the sound - it all spoke to him in a way that plumbing never did.

As his career gained momentum, Kev's rise in the music world was meteoric. His debut single reached the top of the charts, and soon he was performing at major venues and festivals. But despite his success, he remained humble, never forgetting his roots.

Crane's passion for music had been reignited during the 2020 lockdown, when he converted his cellar into a recording studio and started working on an album he had begun 25 years earlier.46 His debut album, "Why Can't I Be You," was released in August 2021.

In 2022, Crane signed a deal with Hollywood filmmaker Stacy Sherman and screenwriter Billy Ray, who wrote the screenplay for "The Hunger Games" and "Captain Phillips." The rights to Crane's story were sold to Sherman and Ray, and a script was written by British sitcom and film writers Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais, known for "The Likely Lads" and "Auf Wiedersehen, Pet"

Crane's story gained significant attention, with media coverage in the UK and USA, including features on BBC East Midlands Today, ITV's This Morning, and The Drew Barrymore Show.

Kev Crane's remarkable transformation - from A plumber to singer on a stage and now inspiring a Hollywood film - stands as a powerful reminder that perseverance, talent, and the courage to embrace unexpected opportunities can turn a dream into reality. His journey is proof that passion, when pursued wholeheartedly, can unlock doors one never imagined existed.
