The evolution of the turbulence and my transitioning to the one I was before, or a better version of it

Where did the happiness decide to go? When did it disappear?

I was once a super-duper happy girl. Do you know why? I analyzed my emotions and dealt with them. As I got older and older, I had more complications. I know that many have harsher situations than those I have dealt with but everyone has their own battles. Everyone is different.

In this case, I just gave up. It was easier that way... so I thought.

Bombarded with so many problems, I got frustrated; some I couldn’t even solve them by myself. The glass was getting fuller and fuller. And I just decided it was best for me to stop accepting my emotions. Yet again, I thought it was easier to hide them inside and not let them see the light.

I put them aside and told myself everything was all right. This was perfect for the next few years, I was not always getting sad because of what happened during those times. I lied to others and most importantly to myself.

I was the brightest kid in school, I could give laughs and laughs left and right. I could talk nonstop. The days went by so quickly. Then everything turned upside down. I was still lying to myself.

It was just too much. But I knew that by now, analyzing my emotions would be dreadful, I was tired. I eventually exploded. And no one knew. I preferred it like that. It was my own battle. Yet again, another mistake.

It´s been a journey. Little by little. I’m truly smiling once again. I’m also re-learning how to comprehend and handle my emotions. I’m getting my life back on board. It’s a slow process but I love everything about it. I’m getting to be in peace with me, myself and I. Everyone says that communication is key, I say that you MUST have it first with yourself.

I know now that I can never let myself down, it affects me and only me. This goes out to you too. Talk, talk talk. If you prefer, talk to your loved ones, and if not, to yourself.

Learn to love you and the emotions that come with it. Reenter the phase where you were always happy and when the world was only a white canvas which you could arrange as desired. Try hard and harder, laziness is prohibited. Who said that dealing with your own emotions was an easy task? It's much smoother when someone else asks for advice right?

This ability to know and express your emotions is a difficult task but not an impossible one. By prioritizing your self-care, you can later even have better relationships. But first, you have to concentrate on yourself. You can't love another if you don't give love to yourself.

Emotions are powerful, negative or positive. Use them as motivation or inspiration.

Just care for yourself.

Identify, accept, express, and rediscover. This is the advice I give you. It’s a cycle but keep doing it. Life always has its ups and downs. Don’t be like me and put them aside. As we live, we will have different situations that can leave a mark, let's learn from them and discover our feelings.
