Yet, as we marvel at this achievement, a sobering question arises: If we struggle to manage affairs on our own planet, how can we hope to govern the cosmos? The irony is palpable, as nations like the United States, Russia, China, India, and Japan have already positioned their satellites, hinting at an arms race in outer space. NATO's efforts to extend its collective defense clause to include space further underscore the militarization of this frontier. Meanwhile, the advancement of total surveillance through space technology adds another layer of complexity to our relationship with the heavens.

The Wonders and Pitfalls of Space Technology

Space technology, undeniably fascinating, has brought numerous benefits to our daily lives. Navigation systems, for instance, have revolutionized how we travel, guiding us effortlessly to our destinations. Yet, this convenience comes at a cost: many have lost the ability to navigate using traditional methods, such as reading a road atlas. In the Book of Job, God speaks directly to Job from the storm, challenging him with questions about the creation of the Earth. Job, having endured great suffering, had been grappling with the nature of God's justice and the purpose of his trials. In today's world, as Satan's efforts intensify, the importance of praising God becomes ever more crucial. Every crisis presents an opportunity, not just to be paralyzed by fear, but to reflect and avoid past mistakes. The Christian community has often neglected this praise, but the latest virus crisis offers a chance to change this. The Bible, our spiritual monitor, reveals God's intentions for the world and our lives. By focusing on Christ, we can witness the success of God's mission, prompting us to rise, thank, and rejoice in His glory. The praise of God remains fitting, even in the darkest times.
