The zeal to survive.

In a world where challenges spring up day after day, different challenges with various intensities.

This has led to the individual development of thick skin and inner strength. The world we live in today is not for the faint-hearted, It is however not realistic or advisable to just give up on life.

Over the years, I have watched my parents tackle various direful challenges with so much inner strength and i always ask myself where did this strength come from? The challenges sometimes look insurmountable to me and i get confused, right now i'm talking of the ones i know of, but then i just see them putting heads together and making something brighter out of those hefty challenges.

During the early years of my childhood, during my elementary years, my dad used to work as a hotel accountant, he moved up the ladder to being the chief accountant of the hotel, within a span of three years he leveled up to the post of the general manager of the four-star hotel. How interesting is it to experience all this during one's lifetime and then the other happened, due to some inner political crises of the state linked to the hotel, he lost his job and that was the beginning of the challenging times. Although he was able to save up a little, get some landed properties then it all did not amount to anything when the terminal disease (Cancer) inflicted my mom.

While growing i watch the physical struggle and pains the family go through on a daily basis, my dad still trying to man up so he could provide for the family, when the expenses were getting out of hand we were forced to change our schools to a public school, (Government school). As a child it didn't go well with me as the standards and environment were different, from the school (Private) I came from it was a ratio of 15:1, but right in this new school i was changed to the student, teachers ratio was 100:1, alarming right, but that was what i faced.

I watched my mom in pain still trying to see that we are doing good and attending school as we should. I keep wondering what has been the motor for our continuous living as a family in society and life in general, I oftentimes hear the news or stories of people being fed up about life due to their overwhelming challenges, and thereby they decide to quit. I sincerely understand their pains and challenges and i hope and pray that we all find that inner strength that will keep us in motion during our trying times, during times when we face tribulations that we can not share with anyone but ourselves. For my parents, I do not know what their inner strength was but i think i can guess what it was, and that is us the children. Giving us a better life if not the best and seeing out accomplish great things would have been their inner strength and motivation.

There is a deposit of strength in every individual that is always available to carry you on during your trying times, during your painful moments, the strength is within and you need to go down the root and get it activated.

Life challenges are unavoidable, they keep coming just after you get sorted with one and we have no choice but to face them because facing them builds and trains our minds, adds experiences, and above all, it is in those life challenges that we grow. So you must take out time to find that strength in you.

Find the strength in you today.
