Don’t be complacent…
Piecing together your unique story

Have you ever experienced a time when everything seemed to go your way? When you felt happy, successful, and fulfilled? When you had plenty of money, opportunities, and resources? When you felt like you were on top of the world?
These are the times of abundance in life. They are like the sun at noon, shining brightly and warmly on everything. They are also like a flower in full bloom, showing its beauty and fragrance to the world. These are the times when we can see clearly, act confidently, and achieve greatly.
But these times don't last forever. The sun eventually sets, and the flower eventually withers. Life is full of changes and cycles, and nothing stays the same. That's why we need to make the most of these abundant times while they last.
How do we do that? By being grateful, generous, and wise.
Being grateful means appreciating what we have and not taking it for granted. It means celebrating our achievements and acknowledging our blessings. It also means being humble and not arrogant. We should remember that our success is not only due to our own efforts, but also to the help and support of others, and to the favorable circumstances that we encounter.
Being generous means sharing what we have with others who need it or deserve it. It means giving back to our family, friends, community, and society. It also means being kind and compassionate to everyone we meet. We should remember that our abundance is not only for ourselves, but also for the benefit of others, and for the greater good of all.
Being wise means planning for the future and preparing for the challenges that may come. It means saving some of our resources for rainy days and investing some of them for long-term goals. It also means making smart and thoughtful decisions that will benefit us and others in the long run. We should remember that our abundance is not guaranteed, but depends on many factors that we can't control or predict.
Think of your abundance as a seed that you can plant today to grow a tree for tomorrow. The tree will provide you with shade, fruits, flowers, and wood in the future. But you need to water it, prune it, and protect it from pests and diseases. You also need to share its products with others who can enjoy them or use them.
This is how you can create a positive cycle of abundance in your life. The more you give, the more you receive. The more you plant, the more you harvest. The more you help others, the more they help you.
This is also how you can follow the Way of Heaven—the natural order of things that brings harmony and balance to everything. The Way of Heaven is not about competing or dominating others, but about cooperating and uniting with them. It is not about harming or exploiting others, but about benefiting and uplifting them.
This is the message that I want to share with you: when you are in a time of abundance, be it personal or collective, enjoy it fully but don't forget your responsibilities. Be grateful for what you have but don't be complacent or wasteful. Share your abundance with others but don't be reckless or extravagant.
Be mindful of the changes that may happen and be ready for them. Celebrate your success but don't lose sight of your purpose.
By doing this, you will live like a sage—a wise person who knows how to live well and do good in any situation. You will also create a positive impact on others and on the world.
