Do Not Kill the Child in

Once upon a time, there was a small village where people lived simple lives. In the heart of the village stood an old banyan tree, a favorite spot for children. They would play under its shade, laugh, and weave dreams of their own. Among them was an eight year old boy named Rahul. His innocence and warm smile made him beloved by the entire village.

Rahul’s father was a farmer, and his mother took care of their home. His parents often reminded him that as he grew up, he needed to be serious and responsible. But Rahul’s heart was still lost in the joy of childhood. He loved everyone, whether it was a stray dog in the village or his friends. To him, people of all religions, castes, and ages were the same.

One day, a new family moved into the village. They had a son named Raju, who was shy and mostly kept to himself. The village kids hesitated to play with him because he belonged to a different religion. But Rahul didn’t think twice before befriending him. He invited Raju to play, and soon, the two became inseparable.

A grand fair was organized in the village one day. There were swings, toys, and delicious sweets everywhere. Rahul and Raju were excitedly exploring the fair when a shopkeeper suddenly scolded Raju, saying, Get out of here People like you are not allowed here.

Raju’s face fell, and he walked away, heartbroken. Rahul saw his friend’s sadness and ran to him. *What happened, Raju? he asked.

With teary eyes, Raju said, People see me as different, Rahul. I am not like you.

Rahul smiled and held his friend’s hand. **“Raju, you are my best friend. It doesn’t matter what people say we are the same.

Hearing this, Raju’s heart felt lighter, and both of them continued enjoying the fair together.

The Storm That Changed

A few days later, a terrible storm hit the village. Many houses were destroyed, including Rahul’s. The villagers started helping each other, but some refused to assist Raju’s family because they were different from them.

Rahul couldn’t stand it. He rushed to help Raju’s family without hesitation. Seeing this, his father scolded him, Why are you helping them? They are not like us.

Rahul, without any fear, replied, Papa, when the storm came, did it care about religion or caste? Then why should we? We are all the same.

His father was silent for a moment, then his heart softened. He joined Rahul in helping Raju’s family. Seeing this, the other villagers also stepped forward.

A Lesson in Humanity

Over time, the entire village learned from Rahul’s kindness. He made them realize that love and humanity are the greatest virtues.

Rahul told everyone, There is a child inside all of us one who loves without judgment, forgives easily, and sees everyone as equal. Never let that child die.

His words changed the village. People started treating each other with love and respect, without any discrimination.

The story of Rahul teaches us how to be truly human, without prejudices and taboos. To help others, to not drown the innocent child within us, which is full of love. :)
