Believe in Yourself — Even When You Don’t Feel Ready

Believing in yourself isn’t about being fearless — it’s about being willing to try anyway

Trust ourself-Even When You Don t Feel Prepared
I used to believe that the saying Believe in yourself is one of those things people say when they do not know what to say.I would read it in speeches, read it in books, scroll past it on social media, all in bold fonts and bright colors. But, in real life, in the still, heavy moments when I was not certain of myself, it was just a hollow piece of advice.
Have faith in yourself?
I did not even know how to begin.

Self-Doubt As Your Default
When you have ever felt that you are not good enough, not ready enough, or simply not enough, I know. I know it, I have been there, more than I would like to admit.Self-doubt was not loud to me. It was calm and steady. It spoke in minor choices, it kept me away of new experiences and it made me believe that failure would somehow become part of my identity.
I would have an idea in my heart, something I really wanted to do, start something, say something, go for something, and I would do nothing, I would stall. Not that I did not care but that I did not trust myself to cope with what was to follow.

First Step Is Smallest
What I have come to know is this: Believing in yourself does not begin big. It begins with little. It begins by taking an action that frightens you a bit.It begins by appearing at the time when you are not prepared. It begins by respecting your own voice as you would respect the voice of everyone.
In my case, it was as simple as posting something that I did not even know anybody would read. When I first did it my heart was racing. I doubted every word of it. But I did it.

What did happen, you know?Nothing terrible.
The heavens did not collapse. I was not laughed off the internet.
Actually, one individual sent me a message and told me that he/she really needed this today. That single message was evidence. Evidence that perhaps, just perhaps, I could believe in myself more than I thought.
Does Not Mean Being Sure, It Means Being Ready

This is what no one tells you:
To believe in yourself does not imply that you are not afraid. It simply implies the willingness to experiment. You do not need to be the best. You do not need to have everything figured out.
All you need is to be courageous enough to start. As you begin to do the things you always thought were too big to do, you begin to see that much of those boundaries were established in your own mind. And all of a sudden, it does not seem so impossible to believe in yourself. It is a deserved feeling

Talk to Yourself as to Someone You Love
Asking myself a simple question was one of the greatest changes imy life:Would I speak to a friend in the same manner in which I speak to myself? When a friend tells me, I want to do something new, I would not tell him/her, You will likely do it wrong.
I would motivate them. I would trust them.

But me? I was the first to break me down.
It takes time to change that inner voice but it begins with awareness. It begins with seizing those moments and substituting them with compassion.Whenever you decide to talk kindly to yourself, you are developing belief. Quietly. Slowly. Honestly.
You can Do More Than You Believe
Wait no longer to be told you can believe in yourself by someone, this is your permission.
You do not have to know it all. It is not necessary to be perfect.
You are permitted to believe in yourself as you are- now.
Not when you lose weight.
Not after you get that job.
Not when you are more confident.
Now. Today. And with all your faults and doubts and fear- you deserve to trust yourself

Final Thoughts: The Silent Strength of Self-Belief
Having faith in yourself is not a big, showy change.
It is not always noticeable or commemorated.
Yet it is powerful.
It is when you speak up.
The instant you apply, nonetheless.
The second you continue even when no one is applauding. And all those little moments accumulate. You end up being someone you trust. A person you admire. Someone you can believe in--not because somebody told you about them, but because you saw what you can be.Then, in case nobody has told you this today:
