This past year has been a trying one due to the pandemic. Everyone around the world was forced to quarantine. Businesses were forced to close, people were forced to stay inside and loved ones passed away and departed from the physical world.
Burying loved ones had become more difficult during the pandemic than ever before especially when there was limit on who could attend the services. Honoring the memory of the dearly departed seemed impossible. Thus, 'A Moment In Time' Memory Clocks were designed.
I've always been a crafty and creative person since I was a little girl. I absolutely enjoyed taking blank and raw materials and letting my imagination take over. I craft just about everything from apparel to drinkware to accessories to home decor. I also sew and crochet and craft with all sorts of tools and equipment such as a Silhouette cameo 3, a 15x15" heat press, a desktop, printers, scissors, tape measures, hot glue gun, cardstock, sewing machine, fabric, you name it I have it (lol)
I created A Moment In Time Memory Clocks because I wanted a way to cherish my dad's memory in a special way but I didn't make anything basic that I was used to seeing like t-shirts. My dad passed away on Memorial Day, May 25, 2020. This day changed my life forever. My parents are my favorite people in my life, especially my dad. He always had a smile on his face and he could make anyone laugh. His laugh was definitely contagious. He would go above and beyond the call of duty for anyone who needed help and he could provide it. He loved hard and made sure my mom, my siblings and myself was taken care of even in our adult lives. I had no idea how I would make it in life without him.
I decided to make a clock because I loved the idea of stopping time and what better way to do that than with actually stopping time. I honestly thoroughly enjoyed making the clock and my mom and brothers were equally surprised at the design I came up with. I started making the clocks for other people who have recently lost love ones. I feel like a mechanic with my screwdriver and my scissors when I take apart, design and reassemble the clocks. Seeing the light on my customers faces when they receive their clocks brings me outstanding joy. Giving my customers an 'A Moment In Time' Memory Clock is one of the greatest feelings I receive as a crafter!Start writing...
