2020

things to help you pursue this year

By Bralen WilliamsPublished 6 years ago 3 min read

We are here. It is finally the year 2020. We ended another decade and about to start to a new one. I know there’s a lot of things to look back on and reflect in these past ten years. Some good & bad days, our best moments and worst moments. Some lessons we learned. Ten years is a lot, right? Anyone can relate how these lessons they have taught you something and these are some things to help you go into the new decade.

1. Learn more about Yourself.

This could be another year where you can discover more interesting things about yourself. Discover new talents, create and make new hobbies and activities and many things. The best thing about life is you are learning something all the time, directly or indirectly. The best thing is in the end, when you learn more about yourself, you can share your talents to the world. It is scary sure, but turns out you find more about yourself without even noticing. So your personal discoveries are very sacred and you should consider to be open to new positive things.

2. Be Honest with yourself before anything.

We have lived by this phrase “Honesty is the best policy.” Believe it or not, our society is not really based on the honest truth of things. Most of our structures are based on lies that are carried. I believe the best way to be honest is being honest with yourself, before influencing others to be honest. Do not hide or fail to see behind the truth, no matter how ugly it is. The more real it is, the more genuine and best way it is for you to accept it.

3. Expect all the possible outcomes.

Life happens in the weirdest ways. No one knows what’s gonna happen the next minute. That’s why sometimes things happen. No one can change the way life works. The only thing is Life is gonna keep going on and do not lose your cool just because of a interference. You should expect all the possible outcomes of something to happen because nothing is a for sure thing. So just see all the possibilities and see how you could fail and do not be suprised.

4. Work and stay committed to working.

Let me guess. You want to go on vacation to a nice island or resort? You wanna go get yourself something nice from a new store and treat yourself? Well, the best way to treat yourself after is to work hard for it. Whatever job you have, stay committed to work and in the end, you can have all that for yourself. Over the years, humans have gotten lazy to a point where they see the success of someone else is their outcomes and not the process. Be patient and keep working to achieve your goals.

5. Stay Relaxed and less stressed.

This one I feel like is the most effective rule there is to live by. We get it. It is that time of year when things and life gets stressful. You get hit with a lot of stress and things and don’t know how to handle it all. The thing to remember is stress is only temporary. Stress is caused by yourself overthinking of the worst to the extreme. Best ways to relax is to mediate or listen to calm music when you have downtime to allow you to release your stress. Trust me, less stress will leave you to a healthier life and more positivity around success. We can use these methods to send and help others deal with their stress. Find some activities that you enjoy to help relieve stress and use that a outlet like working out, boxing, watching tv, meditation or anything.

6. Be more Aware

This one is more personal, depends on what you have been through and the relationships you have with certain people. What I mean by this is, examine the people you meet and keep a guard up. Don’t be heartless though and treat everyone like they are trash. Examine who you meet at first and then after you evaluate them and get to know someone and see what they are about, then you can let a guard down. Keep in mind that anyone can turn on you in an instant, so being aware and knowing first hand keeps your mind on the edge and watchful.
