All of us know, how important it is to keep our body healthy and active. A lot of seminars and events are being conducted for physical fitness. All big celebrities and social influencers promote physical health. Everyone pays attention to physical wellbeing but no one cares about mental wellbeing.

People feel bad talking about mental health. It is considered as a big stigma or an awful thing to talk.

A lot little but awareness is being created about mental health. But still, it needs more awareness.

Here, in this article, I have contributed to raise a little bit of awareness about mental health.

I have explained 10 steps to mental wellbeing. By following all these steps you will fell calm and relax.

S0, let’s start

Prioritize Yourself

Mental health starts with prioritizing yourself.

You should make yourself priority. Take time from your hectic routine for self-care. Appreciate yourself for all the small achievements you got and for the hard work you have done. No one will appreciate you! No one will take care of you! It’s only you who can do that.

Maintain Healthy Sleep cycle

Healthy Sleep Cycle will make you active

Getting enough and good quality sleep is essential for both mental and physical health. The idea of good quality sleep may differ from person to person. But the good sleep means “sleep of at least 6 hours without any disturbance”

Your environment effects your sleep a lot. So, you should build a cozy and comfortable room for yourself.

Exercise Regularly

Daily Dose of Physical activity will reduce your stress

Physical activity may be the best immediate mood-changing tool It helps release chemicals in the brain that are proven to improve mood and is linked directly to leading a longer, healthier life. Make a short walk or good workout part of your daily routine

Mindful Meditation

Meditation is the food for soul

Research shows meditation can assist better with overseeing gloomy sentiments and feelings. Moreover, lessening side effects of tension and depression has been shown. Attempt reflection, care contemplation, or a few basic breathing activities to begin. Use it in the midst of harmony and stress to quiet the mind.

Reduce Screen time

Try reducing your screen-time on daily basis

No one accepts that he is addicted to social media, but everyone is! Including you and me too.

Excessive and prolong use of social media is harmful for your mental health. Even watching news for long, is too contagious. I am not saying to cut it off totally. I am just trying to say that limit the use of screen.

Here are some tips, which will help you:

• Keep your phone out of your bedroom so it’s not the last thing you check before going to sleep or the first thing you look at in the morning.

• Don’t use your phone half an hour before bed.

• Put your phone down on another table during meal times where you can’t reach it.

• Try challenging yourself by going a whole day without checking social media.

Eat Healthy Diet

You look, what you eat

Eating processed food sources and food varieties that are high in fats can adversely affect emotional wellness. Eating food varieties that produce fat in the body makes the body and mind feel more lazy, and dials back capabilities like inspiration, focus, and energy to get past your day. Limit your sugar and fat admission to keep a sound brain

Hangout with good people

Hangout! But with positive people

Always keep an eye on people around you. If people around you, are demotivating you. Then you should change the company you keep. Try to hang out with good and positive people. It will makes you happy and keeps your mind fresh.

Set Small Goals

Small is better than nothing

Often you make new and big goals to achieve. And work hard for them but got nothing except failure. This all process gives you mental breakdown and depression. To prevent from this situation, set small and simple goals for yourself. And appreciate yourself on achieving them. Try celebrating your small goals because one day this small will become big.

Welcome Sun Every Morning

Wake up early morning and welcome the sun

It is proven that waking up early morning, elevates your mood and keep you healthy, active and fresh.

You should make habit of sitting in sun and increase your exposure to sunlight.
