Do you make the same resolutions every year, but never actually accomplish them. If you are, you are not alone. So if you want to make things happen and change then you have to do something different. One problem is that people make too broad a resolutions and not specific enough. They also make them at the start of the year and then don't think about them until the end of the year when people are asking you if you accomplished them. So here are some great and easy things you can do to make this year great and accomplish your goals.

1. Make a to do list

Make a to do list every day, yes every single day. If you struggle with to do list then maybe you start with only putting one thing on your list and that is okay. Just start somewhere. I like to do mine every night just before day. I review the day before, see if there was anything that I didn't accomplish. And then make a new one for the next day. There is something about waking up and having something you need to accomplish. It gives your day a purpose and a goal.

2. Make a habit tracker

This is a tracker where you track your habits that you want to improve every day. Such as drink 8 glass of water, workout, get outside or only 2 hours on social media. I have a chart that I have in my planner to track the habits that I want to do. If it is too overwhelming, then start small, start with one let's say. It is a motivating thing to see the tracker at the end of the month and see how much you have do the things that you wanted to do. Going through the day knowing that I will have something that I will need to be accountable for is a motivating factor. It will change how you go through your day.

3. Commit to moving every single day

It doesn't have to be long, especially if you don't normally workout. I know it can be hard to get into a program. Commit to a program any program that works for you. If even that is too much, then tell yourself that you just have to workout for 5 minutes. For sure once you get into it then you will want to do more. And by just getting yourself moving you will feel so much better about yourself and have a more positive attitude.

4. Get up early

When you wake up, don't go into the bottomless pit that is social media. Once you open it you will start scrolling and then suddenly an hour has gone by. If you need help then count to 3 and just get up.

5. Switch to cash

If you are struggling sticking to your budget and want to do better with your money, then switch to cash for your variable expenses. There is something about actually giving money away that will get you to rethink some of the things that you buying.

6. Toss 2 things a day for a month

I think with the world in the status that it has been we all can see what is really important to our lives. Most of us have too much stuff that we don't actually use. So toss 2 things a day for a month. Only 2 things, no matter how small. It will have you feeling more free at the end of it.

7. Do a 15 minute clean up at the end of the night

Do the dishes, put things away, clean down anything. There is something about waking up to a clean house that will make you feel productive. It helps to get you moving in the morning because then you don't need to be cleaning things up and it's a satisfying thing to go to sleep when you know the house is clean.

8. Drink a gallon water for 30 days

I know that a gallon of water can seem like a lot to many people. But you will be surprised of how much your body can change by just doing that one thing. Your body will be less bloated, your skin healthier by just doing that one thing.

9. Commit to reading 10 pages for 60 days

Try to make the book a nonfiction. I think that once we get out of school a lot of us don't do a lot to keep stimulating our brains. We need to be always learning and always growing. So commit to reading.

10. Make a vision board and put it up so you can see it

Write your goals down, either on a big board or just write them down on a piece of paper. Write down the life that you want to have. No matter how far you are away from them, if you write it down then you are more likely to hit them. Make sure that it is somewhere that you will see it every day to keep you motivated. I have mine right by my door.

Bonus: Learn one thing this year

Commit to learning one thing this year.

Again this goes to expanding our minds. It can be a new language, being able to do your nails, or maybe baking. We all have that one thing that we will ourselves one day we will learn it. Well make today the day for you, stop putting things off and make a commitment.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. If no one has told you today, you are enough and you are appreciated for just who you are.
