Life is not easy

Life hasn’t been easy, two years ago I met this man who had been my caretaker from day one. It all happened at a restaurant, he came to me and invited me for dinner the next day I said No since I didn’t know who he was. Gradually we became close friends and he makes me a happy woman.

I fell in love with him and we begin to go on a date.

I had fun whenever I’m close to him, he buys me everything I want and takes really good care of me because I had no one to.

He became my boyfriend and he promised never to leave me alone. That he will marry me at that time I was a student and I don’t joke with my studies. Because I loved him I did whatever he requests and obeyed him as a little girl. It came a time I stopped school and l was staying with him so he won’t leave me. Calamities came in our relationship he always complains about why I’m speaking with other men which he knew they are mine, classmates. He started to beat me because he thinks I’m cheating on him, and stopped taking good care of me and it ended up that I should leave his house .

If you guys knew the reason you will say I was fooled. Not knowing he was married and his wife is coming home that week. I left his house and received a message later that he fooled me because he needed someone at that moment since his wife wasn’t home. A few weeks later I came to know I was two weeks pregnant. I didn’t know what to do because I disobeyed my parents and went to stay with him and I was with a Mabel who accepted me to stay for a while. I told Mabel and she said I should inform the man I was scared because he threatened me not to call him again.

In this life we all make mistakes but what I did was wrong I destroyed my chance of being in school and my friends too were lost. One afternoon I went to the man’s house Lucky for me his wife wasn’t around to speak with him I told him everything and he rejected that the pregnancy that wasn’t for him. I cried bitterly cause I knew it was him and he told me later to abort it.

Guess what happened next?

Involved myself in trading on the market side, had so many customers they only come for my items, back I was 6 months pregnant. Life hasn’t been easy I have to find shelter, and food and prepare to meet my unborn baby since I had no one. A lot of complications I was facing, and whenever I go to the hospital the doctor explained that because I’m young I can’t give birth unless they operate on me and do CS. My days were filled with fear that what if I died and who will be there for my child? No one unless I survive to take care of my son. I always prayed that all this should pass soon. When the time was due for me to deliver I couldn’t even push the baby out so they had to remove him. When I saw my son at that moment he gave me hope to live once again. I came home after the delivery I had to get some food and rest well. I couldn’t go to work anymore. Everything was falling apart and I wanted to end my life because I had nothing to stay up for except my baby boy who gave me hope to live once again. My story is like a nightmare which I never wanted it to come true . After some few weeks I build a new job of mine which was to clean companies and kept their office clean whiles I sent my son to school because there was no one to take care of him . I couldn’t afford to pay my rent so I had to find an additional job. Kept searching for a second job but to no avail. One faithful morning I had a call from an unknown number which was my old friend Mabel. I was happy and sad at the same time knowing I could have been the best student and will be working by now earning much more than this . She told she owned a big restaurant in Accra and traveled to Canada for holidays and business. She invited me to come to her house and I did after my work . Was amazed to see Mabel so rich and the cars and everything she earned. She introduced me to her husband and two lovely boys they welcomed me and gave me food to eat and rest so we talk the next day .

She said she will help me cause I did help her back in school to learn and improve in so many ways. Life started playing cool with me , me and my son had a room of our own and she promised to get me a suitable job . Mabel was a good friend and I was thankful I met her again .
