Sheehan's Ice Cream Parlor
I don’t recall the exact age, but at some childhood point my parents were able to make me understand the concept of family and it helped, because I had often asked (in my head) who the heck are they talking about? Or who is that? The knowledge happened at the beginning of the end of the “children should be seen, not heard” section of the Sheehan book of child rearing just after the “sshhh go out and play” chapter.

P.S. I Loved You
P.S., I loved you. Mum passed away from cancer when I was 17. Dad was 53. For the next five years or so, Dad and I learned to rely on one another and relate to each other as we never had before. The relationship as father and son that I'd always wanted with him became reality for the first time, and I loved it. In many ways, he became my closest friend. However, I was too immature to comprehend the loneliness growing in his heart. After all, I was 1,200 miles away at college most of the time. He was still very much a man ready for love, and just as I prepared to graduate from my undergrad program and move home, he was preparing to remarry. In my shortsightedness and his dislike of confrontation, neither of us acknowledged the obvious: His new wife wouldn't want me living there. It got ugly quickly, and my close relationship with Dad soured, almost to the point of utter dissolution.

Some men are irresistible
Ever met a guy and thought, damn! He’s so hot? Or just loose your senses for a bit and travel to the land of fantasies immediately until you’re brought back to life?, If that’s you then you’re not alone cause that’s me too. Over time I have struggled with the fact that I like some people to a fault, it’s like nothing they do will ever make me stop, sure I hate their behaviors sometimes but it’s like I’m defenseless when I’m able to just see them.
