Pillows, boxes, and holders, oh my!

All of the weddings I've been to so far are of the smaller variety. And guess what? They were positively beautiful and perhaps even more intimate than a big shindig. However, at the last wedding I was at, I did have one small disappointment.

When the time came for the bride and groom to exchange rings, the best man just pulled the wedding rings out of his pocket. I am all for making things beautiful on a budget, and I absolutely understand budget restraints—heck, my salary is way below the poverty line for my area—but a ring pillow or ring box doesn't cost much at all!

Just about every option on this list is between $10 and $25, but there are a few that are less than $10. I definitely sympathize that having a wedding is costly, even when you try to keep the budget under control, but springing for a ring pillow or ring box is an investment you won't regret.

I've been digging, and I've found pillows and boxes that will work for just about any wedding theme. I personally can't decide if I want to have a beach wedding or a more traditional wedding, so I've saved a bunch of pillows for either type. I want my wedding to be amazing, but I also don't want to end up in the hole over it. That's why I've been digging for the best cheap ring pillows and holders.

If you can find an old castle that doesn't cost too much to rent, this treasure chest wedding ring box would be perfect for a princess or storybook wedding. It's like reaching the end of a long journey and finding the prize in the treasure chest. It's big enough for two rings, so if you're planning on both the bride and the groom having rings, you're in the clear with this one.

If you're having a rustic wedding, this is the perfect ring pillow. The burlap will make it blend in with all the other rustic design flares you have conjured up, while the pillow lace will ensure your event is still amply classy. If you are considering a rustic theme, it's pretty great, because a few rustic items on your guest tables paired with white linens looks amazing. When it comes to wedding decorations and table decor ideas that are undoubtedly awe worthy, keeping to a theme is something you should always have in the back of your mind.

With how awesome rustic weddings look when they're done well, it'd be sinful to only have one rustic option on this list. This pillow has a cute little heart in the center of it and some frills around the lace. If you want to go rustic but still want some white satin to go with it, this pillow is precisely what you're looking for. The heart is small enough that it doesn't look corny at all, and it still fits in just fine with the rustic wedding theme.

This pillow is so cute, it should be illegal. The heart shape is perfect for the slightly more sentimental couple that likes to have show off their affection for each other. A wedding is all about love, so why not have your wedding ring pillow show a little love, too? Ring bearer pillows should be cute, especially if your ring bearer is a youngster.

If white satin isn't your thing, this bold red and black pillow will stand out. It'll jump out with its striking color combination, but it'll still look beautiful. If you're breaking all the norms and going with a red wedding dress, this pillow would be the perfect complement to it. If red is your favorite color but you aren't sure if it's a good wedding dress color, just remember that it's been the go-to color for wedding regalia in China for centuries!

The wedding ceremony is all about love, so a red pillow can accentuate that. You could do something as simple as wearing red lipstick to make this blend in with your color scheme, too.

If you want the classiest of the classy and still nab it for a good price, this ring bearer pillow from Lillian Rose is a steal. It's got little tassels on the corners like a pillow out of a storybook, as well as some meaningful text to seal the deal. If you want every element of your wedding to tell a story, this is the pillow you want to see your ring bearer carrying.

Now, if I decide to go with a beach wedding... this ring bearer pillow is going to be right on the top of my list. It's got adorable little starfish sewed into it, so if you're having an ivory wedding on the beach, this ring pillow is the perfect harmony of bringing the beach element into your wedding gear and decorations. Having a wedding on the beach is more than just a setting, it's an entire theme.

If you want to go super beachy, if you want to go salty or go home, this ring holder is based on a shell. It's got tiny shells, tiny starfish, and it's just an absolutely lovely twist on the traditional pillow or box. If you're getting married on the beach or at a lake, embrace the nature, and break all the norms with this gorgeous shell holder.

If the lucky guy or girl you're marrying is a beach person through and through, you might even consider proposing with this one.

I'm really leaning toward that beach wedding dream, but I've also got my head in the clouds thinking about beach honeymoon destinations.

I know you probably don't think of Walmart when you think about undying love, but they have some great ring pillows that are affordable and still look fantastic. Wedding ring boxes have a certain sturdiness and stability that pillows lack. This glass ring box is sturdy and makes for a very classy wedding ring holder. Plus, Walmart has great prices, that's one fact none of us can deny. When you're looking for the best cheap ring pillows and holders, they actually have a lot of surprisingly nice options!

This pillow's style could go so many ways; you've got a little bit of that 1920s flapper look going, it could be interpreted to have an angelic quality, or it works with a traditional, white-wedding look. This particular pillow would be very easy to harmonize with the flower girl basket since Hortense B. Hewitt has an entire "Feathered Flair" collection to help you find other key wedding items.

This is a classy and simple double ring box, perfect to house both wedding bands. As a fun fact you totally don't need to know, my very first writing desk was actually made of cherry wood, so I'm rather fond of this ring bearer box. It's easy to open, and you don't need to worry about looping the rings with the satin ties. If your ring bearer is perhaps a young member of the extended family, this could be an easy option for them to handle.

This pillow might be a little bit harder to blend with the look of your wedding, but if you want something bold or dark, here's the pillow for you. I can't imagine the polka dots being able to match other decorations, but if you use a black bow around your flowers or anywhere else, this pillow could fit in pretty nicely.

I absolutely love the dynamic shapes on the exterior of this box. There is indeed a light inside, that's not just a photography trick. Out of all the wedding ring boxes I've looked at, this is the only one with a LED. I'm not sure how you feel about shedding a little light on the subject, but it is certainly different. While it's an interesting feature, it's definitely the unique design on the exterior that makes this box jump out at me.

Flowers are a big part of any wedding, but if you want to bring that design across the board, this embroidered wedding ring bearer pillow has the most beautiful roses stitched into the fabric. If the main flower at your wedding ceremony is going to be roses, if you have a rose ring, or if you just want to spell out love in the language of flowers, this ring bearer pillow is perfect.

It'd also be easy to match with your dress. If you haven't started looking for that yet, definitely arm yourself with wedding dress shopping tips before you go in. If you think deciding on a pillow is hard, choosing a dress is at least 10 times harder!

Your wedding ring should be something special to you that has a design that speaks to you as a person. Your wedding ring cushion should do the same thing. If you're doing gold bands instead of silver ones, I'd highly recommend matching those with the golden lace on this pillow. If you want to go all the way, make sure your cushion bearer has gold cufflinks, a gold tie, or some gold accessory to tie things together in subtle perfection.

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's not a pillow or a regular box... it's a book! This is a very, very unique alternative to a white satin pillow that would still work great at an ivory wedding.

This book does have a Biblical quote on one of the back "pages," which could be a nice touch if you're getting married in a church. If you're less religious or don't plan to have religion as a part of your wedding, it's still a beautiful wedding ring holder. Otherwise, you've got plenty of other choices on this list to choose from!

I know you're going to look at this one and ask me what the heck this is doing on the list. Relax, relax—I promise, there's a method to my madness, as good old Polonius said in Hamlet. This particular ring holder is incredibly classy looking. If you want to break away from the typical pillow or box route, you could have your ring bearer carrying this, or you can easily have it sitting on the officiator's pulpit.

This is actually the cheapest ring pillow, too, since it's less than six dollars. Let your heart pick for you when you're trying to select a pillow; if you're looking for the best cheap ring pillows and holders, cost really isn't too much of a concern. There are a ton of great options for different themes that won't break the bank.

Even if your wedding date is still far off, don't be too afraid to start buying supplies. Once your theme and date are set, go wild. If you choose one of the Michaels options, you could even watch out for their half off coupons, which are issued almost every week. The more you prepare well in advance, the better!
