Prostatitis, an inflammation of the prostate caused by various factors, presents with symptoms such as urethral irritation and chronic pelvic pain. Multiple treatment options are available for this condition. A diet rich in high-quality zinc, selenium, and protein is crucial in treating prostatitis. Zinc and selenium are essential for improving prostate health, and studies show that patients with prostatitis have lower levels of these minerals than the general population.

Medical research indicates that zinc has a potent bactericidal effect on the prostate, while selenium enhances its antibacterial abilities. Protein is a vital component in male semen synthesis, and incorporating protein-rich foods like eggs, lean meat, and bean products in one's daily diet can help address prostatitis.

Prostatitis can be prevented and treated through various dietary remedies that are generally acceptable to the public. These nutritional remedies for prostatitis are well-received, and thirteen popular therapeutic methods have proven effective. The ingredients are simple, the cooking techniques are easy, and the effects are particularly good.

The following methods have been found to be effective:

1. Boil 60 grams of mung bean and 30 grams of plantain seeds in the same pot until the mung beans are rotten. Remove the plantain seeds and then eat them.

2. Wring juice from 500 grams of fresh mung bean sprouts using clean gauze and add an appropriate amount of sugar to replace tea.

3. Take 30 mg of 1% bee milk orally twice a day for long-term adherence.

4. Decoct 60 grams of purslane and 60 grams of plantain herbs in water instead of tea.

5. Boil 200 grams of cuttlefish and 10 grams of peach kernel in water, then eat it and drink the soup.

6. Peel, pit, and mash 250 grams of fresh grapes and drink warm boiled water twice daily.

7. Peel, pit, and mash 50 grams of fresh kiwi fruit and mix with 250 ml of warm boiled water, then drink it twice a day.

8. Remove the pit and mash 60 grams of red bayberry, then mix with 250 ml of warm boiled water and drink it twice a day.

9. Steam 100 ml of fresh lotus root juice with 50 grams of rock sugar and drink it twice a day.

10. Roast and levigate 200 grams of old loofah and serve with sweet wine twice a day.

11. Chop and mash 150 grams of water chestnut (with skin), add 250 ml of warm boiled water, stir and filter off the skin, then take juice twice a day.

12. Boil five fresh cucumber heads (the one without pedicle) with 250 ml of water and drink the juice twice a day for seven days.

13. Boil 50 grams of agaric, 100 grams of cauliflower, and an appropriate amount of rock sugar with 1000 ml of water, then take it twice a day.

These thirteen dietary remedies are easy to prepare and generally well-received by patients. However, it's important for patients to follow specific usage instructions and seek guidance from doctors to ensure a suitable treatment. Additionally, drug treatments such as Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill, a herbal medicine with properties such as heat-clearing, detoxification, and pain relief, can effectively alleviate symptoms associated with prostatitis.

Patients with prostatitis should prioritize adequate sleep, avoiding staying up late or having an erratic sleep schedule. They should not hold their urine or sit long. And they can't wear tight underwear. Otherwise, it will cause the prostate to be compressed, which is not conducive to treating and recovering the disease.

Additionally, maintaining a positive attitude and avoiding negative emotions such as anxiety is crucial. Regular exercise can also improve the body's ability to fight infections and recover, which is beneficial for prostatitis treatment.
