What the world 🌎 looks like as we still fight COVID-19.

My fellow People of the Internet,

Let’s just shoot straight, or as we say in these streets let’s keep it 💯. At this point, we are all tired 😓 fed TF’ 🆙 with this here COVID-19, and can’t wait until this 💩 goes away.

I just Sunday went out for cool 😎 date if you will with wifey to be, only to realize I forgot my mask 😷. I know it’s like the most frustrating thing to date. Before you leave the house, gotta remember your keys 🔑, your phone 📲, wallet, and mask 😷. It’s like bruh, are we dudes gonna need a purse 👜 in a minute? So I get the frustration, and if that isn’t bad enough, we’re somewhat forced to hear the rumors for days, and commentators getting a professional hard on because with out a global crisis they’d have nothing left to do but twiddle them ashy thumbs. So I didn’t come to give you a bunch of baseless commentary, rather share some tips I believe will help inform us, and encourage us to remain in the fight.

So let’s talk the fight, aka the virus 🦠. At the time of my last check, we were sitting 🪑 at some 13➕ million cases, with close to, and I mean at alarming🚨 speeds, some 260k ➕ persons lost. And that’s with thanksgiving still unknown.

That said, with the addition of what’s coming next we have a potential to see this world go #craycray 😜. We are heading into the biggest time of the year for desired gatherings. Those times include but are not limited to the seasons of Christmas, Kwanza, and Hanukkah.

It’s been estimated that more than 2 billion people in some 160 plus countries consider Christmas to be the most important holiday of the year. As of 2009 between 500 thousand and two million Americans celebrated Kwanzaa, or between one and five percent of African Americans. Finally According to a 2015 report by Wilmington, North Carolina's Star News, the ratio of Americans who celebrate Hanukkah compared to those who celebrate Christmas is one to 14. So all that analyzing suggests out of the 7.8 Billion occupying planet earth, just slightly over 1/3 will attempt or desire to participate in the holiday season, which could cause an exponential spike in COVID cases.

So I hear ya, you’re asking me, screaming at the 🔝 of your lungs 🫁 while reading 📖 this. You wanna know, what does all this mean moving forward? Well let’s talk about. Quite frankly it means we are dare I say patently waiting for a vaccine 💉 which [SADLY] is a problem unto itself for two critical reasons.

So far we know of one pharmaceutical company that’s a huge talking point in the vaccine 💉 conversation. Pfizer, who is an American multinational pharmaceutical corporation. It is one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies and ranked 57 on the 2018 Fortune 500 list of the largest United States corporations by total revenue. A little about this fine folks.

In 1849, Pfizer was founded in New York City by German-American Charles Pfizer (actually Karl Pfizer) and his cousin Charles F. Erhart from Ludwigsburg, Germany. They launched the chemicals business, Charles Pfizer and Company, at Bartlett Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where they produced an antiparasitic called santonin. This suggests these homies might know a little something something, but it doesn’t answer the biggest question 🙋🏾‍♂️ to date.

So now to the elephant 🐘 in the virtual room? The question 🙋🏾‍♂️ everyone’s dying to know the answer too!! just when will this vaccine 💉 will be ready, and most importantly who’s fin to get hit with it first?

At the fear of being political, I gotta say, If the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has his way, it will come as 🔜 as the first of January. This way he [President Trump] can lay claim that he and he alone ended the pandemic 😷.

The problem with this is, are we rushing to solve a political agenda, which could by pass key safeguards needed to make certain of this vaccine 💉 effectiveness? And two we still haven’t figured out distribution?

The U.S. population today, at the start of 2020, numbers just over 331 million people. The U.S. is the third largest country in the world, outnumbered only by the two demographic billionaires, China and India, at just over 1.4 billion and just under 1.4 billion, respectively.

This means the USA 🇺🇸 has to distribute 331 million doses for starters, because true effectiveness requires two doses equating to 662. Which brings another problem...

331 Million live in the USA 🇺🇸, that we know of. Then you have an Estimated number of undocumented immigrants living in the U.S. ranging somewhere between 10.5 million to 12 million, or approximately 3.2%–3.6% of the population.

So again, I hear 👂🏾 ya. You’re like EDB, get to the freaking point, and stop 🛑 prolonging this cuz your word count is off. Tell me right now, what does this mean for an estimated 343 Million living breathing souls? Typically the rich and well connected are at the 🔝 of the list with the poor and disenfranchised begging 🥺 🙏🏾 for the scraps.

We know of 12 million undocumented, or the 3.6% but let’s add 13.4% of African American or blacks people and the 18.5% who are brown, all three are worst than endangered species in this recovery conversation. This is why I believe our staying vigilant, and patient is key for our recovery and most importantly our survival.

So as I prepare to disconnect I hope we’ll do our best to protect each other, and most importantly protect ourselves! Until the next time we can chat.

From and Mine, Unto You and Yours
