I have a congenital condition known as a syrinx or syringomylemia as well as degenerative disc disease, scoliosis. I was a healthy mix martial arts champion from age sixteen and on winning numerous medals and trophies at the state level. Around age twenty one (21) and on I suffered extremely debilitating pain in my thoracic spine. Dr. Gavric was our next door neighbor his office was next to my father's store Smile's in Oak Creek, WI. With the combination of a pain specialist doing an epidural facet joint injections, and honestly, the very first day I started treatment with Dr. Gavric it was miraculous. I have an extremely high pain tolerance level from athletics and MMA however the day he did the first spinal manipulation and adjustment with some electrical stimulation my pain that radiated from the left region of the cervical spine to the thoracic spin and into to the intercostal area was as if I was sixteen again! I virtually had NO pain. This is a miraculously gifted doctor and he had solved a debilitating problem that made it impossible for me to sit and study from age sixteen through age 21, would leave me agitated, and in sleepless nights. This treatment single handedly cured my associated pain anxiety, improved my concentration, and most importantly got me back into MMA.

After almost 12 years I returned from a serious car accident that happened in 2018 and I started treatment with Dr. Gavric at his Howell Ave location in Oak Creek again. However I had gained from 2018 to 2020 (200 pounds) because of the pain that left me bedridden. I had tried so many different treatments from trigger point injections, muscle relaxants, pain killers, ER visits galore and I had not been able to solve the issue. I finally found out that Dr. Gavric's office had moved from next door to our store, which now Sal's, regardless once I did I got into his schedule.

This time with destabilizing weight increase of 200 pounds, I could not walk for more than 2 minutes, I could not stand in Islamic prayer, make prostration, I was 409 lbs. from 185 pounds in the Summer of 2018, 100 pounds per year was gained due to the spinal injury. With immense contributory effects of a horrible physician named Dr. Malooley a psychopath that put me on SSRIs and mood stabilizing agents for my depression that lead to severely destabilizing weight gain, in turn cholesterol medications, hypertension medications and other medications to offset the weight gain and deal with the new associated problems and conditions that came with it. So 409 pounds unable to walk, work, sit, pray, I would sit in a recliner and literally spend my day there watching TV depressed as all hell unable to cope with this awful situation.

Once I started treatment with Dr. Gavric I was shocked at the response my body did not give any response to the Chiropractic. Dr. Gavric explained that “years of systematic wear and tear and weight gain has caused this its going to take time this time to get you back into good health.” I listened and it was the best advice I ever adhered to. Because within a few months my adjustments began making serious difference, my gait returned to normal, my bow returned in prayer, my prostration became tolerable, my work became feasible, studying became possible again. I also started to actively weight lift and swim again and dropped 75 pounds from 409 lbs. And currently am now 325 pounds nearly finished with treatment and dropping weight every week. In just 3 months I dropped 75 pounds since I started treatment in July 2020. The effects of chiropractic have a dynamite effect on your spinal health and overall well being with its encompassing effects. I am a living testimony that due to nearly irreversible circumstances causing weight gain from unscrupulous physicians like Dr. Malooley I am now on zero psych medications, am losing weight every week, weightlifting, swimming, studying, returning to work and will be starting a MD program soon.

It needs to be understood I was seen after 12 years of degeneration and 200 pounds of weight gain, three months of therapy and chiropractic with Dr. Gavric whom himself is an exemplary doctor, a model to his patients literally built like the Hulk! So it gives you hope when you start treatment if you are over weight at the time dealing with depression etc. He is so sincerely endearing that he will indeed be one of the few doctors that really understands how to treat a patient not as a statistical number or dollar sign rather will become a confidant and educate you about your health in ways that will be life long ways to adhere to.

I look forward to a second breath on life and losing the remainder of my weight and living life in a renewed and healthy way. These mere words really do no justice to the fact that a person whom physicians from my family started to tell me to get gastric bypass surgery, or I will die of a heart attack, stroke etc. Shattering your dreams of rehabilitating, this science of chiropractic is far beyond any typical medicine because it does NOT mask pain it corrects the curvature of the spine and releases pressure of nerves as I explained a domino and snow ball effect for your mental health, physical health and overall well being. ITs a miracle and I am a walking miracle, a testimony that this chiropractic medicine is the future for individuals with one of the most debilitating issues, spinal pain. I would recommend this to anyone. May Dr. Gavric be rewarded for his continuous thriving effort and all he is doing for the community for the past several decades.
