A Journey to the Center of Me
My journey started about five years ago or so. I was separated from my wife, and trying to get her to move back in with me, while I was seeing another woman. Now, you are probably asking, James, why would you be asking your wife back into your life if you are dating another? That was my exact question when the reality of what I was doing hit me. I went and found a therapist, that was Dale.

Mirror Dragon Tarot (Part 2)
The Center card this week is the Princess of Swords (Page in RWS). I see the princesses of the Tarot as having courage in their innocence. As the youngest of the court cards, they stride forward with no preconceived ideas. Their slates are clean, so without judgement or fear, they move into the first steps of exploring the attributes of their respective suits with curiosity and vigor. In the suit of Swords, we deal with the element of air and therefore our intellect and cognitive thought processes. This princess is not afraid to ask the questions she’s curious about. No matter whether they might seem “dumb” or inappropriate or “unrelated” to others and what they believe, the power of curiosity negates those inconsistencies and opens new pathways to wider knowledge. So, this week will likely be dominated by a deep desire to question the status quo. We want to poke at the fabric of our perceived reality with the sharp sword of our intellect to learn what’s solid and what is a facade. Reason combined with will clarifies the foggy situations around us and defines the cracks and holes.

6 Ways to Cleanse and Empower Yourself
This is not your average list of cleansing techniques. You're not going to be told that these techniques are going to help you "get rid of all the negativity and toxicity in your life." You're not going to be offered products that can take care of everything that's a problem in your life. This is a list of cleansing techniques that also empowers you. We are taking the time to know ourselves, know our environment, and invest in our confidence.

Words of Inspiration
Having suffered with anxiety since 2013, I had tried many things to help me manage the negativity and self defeating thoughts I had. In 2018 after my marriage broke down, I returned to meditation and eventually began to write down the thoughts I had as a sort of self therapy.

Reading for 8-26 Through 9-1-19
Reading for 8-26 thru 9-1-19. The Center card this week is the 6 of Wands The sixes of the Tarot are inherently about balance. As above so below. They engender meeting an obstacle or challenge and emerging on the other side with the knowledge that we’ve succeeded, we’ve figured it out, we’ve survived. Not only have we come out of the challenge with the wisdom of experience, we find the ability to recognize the events or reasons that we got tangled up in the first place. With a feeling of peace born of successful outcomes, we find ourselves stronger and wiser. Now, when presented with the particular triggers or urges that drew us into confusion or frustration, we can make a conscious choice about whether we want to repeat the experience or shift focus and go in a different direction. As this 6 is in the suit of Wands, the demands on our energy have been heavy. We employed a great chunk of passionate drive and we seem to have been riding an adrenaline high. As the pressure declines, however, so does the drive to meet it. Often with that kind of drain on our inner resources, we find ourselves in a period of exhaustion or depletion when we need to retreat and regroup. The Knight of Pentacles is a great, stable energy to compliment that.

Gradual or Sudden
Is awakening sudden, or gradual? It is well to use the term, "awakening," rather than "enlightenment," because "enlightenment" tends to invoke a lot of beliefs and assumptions that get in the way more than point to the path. Soon after his own awakening, a passerby saw him and asked him what he was.

Mirror Dragon Tarot
The Center card this week is Art With this Major Arcana card at the center for the week our clearest and deepest focus is about how to pull all aspects of a given situation together so that the separate parts form greater and more cohesive whole. Although it may at first seem unlikely, even impossible, to bring dis-similar energies into alignment this is exactly what the influence of Art encourages and guides us to do. We spent last week concentrating on our Earthy (Pentacles) resources and material concerns using the air-based (Swords) facets of our cognitive thought processes. Perhaps the bits and pieces in the watery (Cups) emotional parts of our lives have taken a back seat. The energy of Art allows us to see the disparate threads of our tangled emotions and how they can be woven together to give a broader, more compassionate completion to our resource based gains plus a safer, more reasonable environment to address our touchier interactions.

Tarot: Just What Is It and Where Did It Come From?
Although having grown in popularity considerably in the later part of the 20th century, many people may still be unfamiliar with what the Tarot is. Simply put, they are a deck of cards traditionally being comprised of a total of seventy-eight (78) cards; twenty-two (22) “trumps” or “majors,” known as the major arcana, and fifty-six (56) cards in the minor arcana. The minor arcana is made up of four suits (typically: swords, cups, pentacles/coins, and wands/rods), each containing numbered cards ace (1) through ten (10) and four court cards (King, Queen, Knight, and Page).
