Sedentary Lifestyle: A Curse
Since my medical school teacher introduced me to this smartphone application to track my daily footsteps, I have realized how much of a couch potato I am! 10,000 steps are apparently my daily target; ten is what I actually make. Too little? Let’s count it to 100 to make it sound less dramatic.

Dear Self
Dear self, It's been three weeks since your emergency brain surgery and things have been hard. Really damn hard. Today as you were looking into the mirror, I noticed you run your hands over your scars and the air left your stomach. You felt it as I whispered "we are okay" but I don't think you believed me. I want you to understand, that I can't lie to you. Okay, that's not true. I can tell you that another piece of cake doesn't matter if no one sees you eat it, I can say that all of that bull you buy with inspirational quotes that you hang on the walls actually makes us feel better, and I can tell you that the people around us aren't scared to say the wrong thing with every breath but we both know deep down when I'm lying. And today, I'm not. WE ARE GOING TO BE OKAY.

My Life At a Standing Desk
I recently got a standing desk, and it has changed everything for me. I have found that my productivity is higher, my cognitive capabilities are faster, and my stamina is greater. I have sat for the better portion of my life. As we all have. I am a writer, and quite literally sitting at a desk is my job. Over the years, my hips have gotten looser, and my sciatic nerve tighter. I have tried every different desk chair and at the end of the day, I feel like crying. I also suffer from what I call computer shoulder. It's when my shoulders lock-in at my ears, and I have to slowly find my way to the floor for them to relax. It is awful and I was in hell.

I Had a Stroke
On Sunday, June 23 at 11:04 AM, I walked into the toddler room at my church. At 11:05 AM, I began to feel the effects. My wife was outside of the room on the playground, trying to dry up some of the water on the playground. I reached for the paper towels by the sink in the nursery in order to assist. I immediately felt a little "off." Something wasn't quite right. I made it to the playground and began wiping out the sinks of the playground kitchen, and my hand felt weak and unresponsive. I remember telling my wife, "My hand wasn't working right."

The Importance of Straight Teeth for Your Health
Even the most random smile makes us happy. Why is that? Well, in fact these random smiles aren’t exactly accidental. There’s always a reason for someone smiling at you. It may be because they like you or the way you act, or it may be simply because they like your vibe. Nonetheless, it’s always something positive and that’s why smiles are always complimentary. Start from yourself and think about why and when you smile at strangers. It’s always in good spirit, isn’t it? Many companies in Australia use a work strategy that involves smiling as a way of motivating employees and keeping a positive work atmosphere, and it gives actual results. The Effect of Chewing Gum on the Body
Before it looked different. In ancient times, people used completely different materials that imitated chewing gum. It was tobacco for the first Americans, tar for the ancient Greeks, frozen larch juice for the Siberian peoples, and rubber for the Mayan tribes. Modern chewing gum appeared in 1848. Today it is impossible to imagine our life without it.
