Reading for 7-20 thru 7-26-27
We are under the influence of two cards of the Major Arcana, The Moon at the center and The Fool in the west position with the 9 of Wands to bring in a sense of personal strength. As always, the Major Arcana cards signify the Big Picture. They denote the lessons we can use to broaden our awareness and wisdom in the mundane, 3D, human world where we live. The deeper understanding triggered by higher influences gives us a more intricate and varied experience of everyday tasks and interactions.
The Center card this week is the Moon.
In astrology, the position of the Moon in the sky at the time of our birth shows the reality of how we see ourselves on the inside, our deepest and most honest selves. With The Moon at the Center for the week we deal with those deeper emotional connections, the ones we often veil or hide. We find a well of passion now, the sweet sorrow, brilliant pain, exquisite Joy and fiery anger that often require us to let go of the rules of society. When we hear people say things like “men don’t cry” or keep “a stiff upper lip”, “don’t giggle, he’ll think you’re foolish” or “if you show your anger, you look ugly” and we trust that, we reach for veils and masks. So often we dampen or even completely shut down our feelings in fear that we’ll be seen in a negative light by others. What happens when we do curtail our true feelings is that we not only cheat ourselves out of the full experience of having them but we cheat those around us out of seeing our full beauty and learning how to deal with the truth of who we are. We end up wearing costume personalities that we think will be accepted, losing the reality of who we are and the beauty and strength of pure, un-muddied emotions. Conversely those closest to us, and who we care most about, never get the chance to interact with the passionate gifts we truly are. Even if some of the emotions we feel have an undesired effect on those around us, when we show them we free ourselves from the endless series of costume changes required to be all things to all people. How exhausting and confusing that is. Honesty is really a lot easier once we embrace it.
The West card is The Fool.
The number on the Fool card is zero. He represents the Void; that into which all things are created. Being thus he is the end and the beginning, the purest naivete and the completeness of the Whole. The beauty and the challenge here is that he is all these things at once. As we gaze into the Void we see the vast ocean of emptiness as well as the completion of all things. Because he signifies all that is possible and all that is, to our limited human minds he is boundlessly confusing. As soon as we try to apply the parameters our brains are so very fond of, we lose the thread. Like when we look directly at a bright star in a dark velvet night we can’t see it but when we look just to one side it becomes clear. It requires a shift in perspective. One of my favorite aspects of The Fool is that in order to experience the Void, we must release any preconceived ideas and allow it to be as it is; all and nothing.
The East card is the 9 of Wands.
Here we have the fullness of our personal strength. Positively in that the light of clarity and our connection to the Divine shines into areas that can be difficult for consciousness to access and negatively it may show itself as an emotional power surge which can cause over-bright responses or short out the energy of a situation entirely. As we work with the energies of both the Moon and the Fool we find the depths and heights of the whole spectrum of our emotional selves. What feels like the passion of our primal connection to Earth and humanity shows itself with the all and nothing possibilities of the Void. In wrangling these larger than life emotions and connections we will need the strength of our cognitive decisions. Yes, we see and feel everything from the depths of what can feel like an abyss, but... It is from here that our strength and the connection with our articulate brain can find the thread, our direct connection to the pure creativity of the Universe.
In Conclusion;
This week we feel All the feels and see All the possibilities. If we can get in touch with the primal nature of our intense emotional Self, connect that with the clarity of articulate thought we humans are so good at we can move mountains. Emotions up at the surface have the tendency to creep out (or lash out) and to the degree that we can see past our limitations we can recognize the possibilities of the Void. Sometimes we need that power surge to make a point or finally confess our love or ask for forgiveness or pitch that idea we Know will work. Trust the beauty and power of the purest nature of Self.
Have a passionate week.
Light, Tory
