Mirror Dragon Tarot Free Weekly Reading #30
Reading for 7-13 thru 7-19-20

The Center card this week is the Lovers.
Another one of the Major Arcana, this card gives us a view of the overreaching aspects of the week and has a more powerful influence than the other two -Minor Arcana- cards. The Lovers is about honesty, communication and true partnership. To the degree that we seek to fill holes, imperfections or feelings of lack in ourselves with the attributes of another we cheat ourselves from becoming our best and most complete whole. Conversely, if we choose to partner with someone who needs or expects us to fill spaces within them that they haven’t learned about, healed or maybe even recognized, we aren’t able to interact in a balanced and loving way or receive the love we deserve. As long as we look to fill our lacks and imperfections with someone else we fracture ourselves and remain unfulfilled. This week, with the 2 of Swords and the 8 of Pentacles bracketing the Lovers, it seems that we’re at a point where we have begun being honest with ourselves and, at least recognizing, if not completely embracing, some of what we may see as the “shadow” parts of ourselves. Whether the craziness of this time we’re living in or the necessary shifts in our lifestyles have forced us to pull down the veils we’ve used to hide those dark parts of us, those parts seem to be clamoring to get out. The loving, compassionate and (most of all) accepting influence of the Lovers encourages us to be kind and gentle with the stunted, injured or closeted parts we hold hidden away from ourselves and others. It is in the light of love that the broken, fractured or unacknowledged aspects of who we are can heal.
The West card is the Two of Swords.
The twos of the Tarot discover relationship. They take the Whole of the Aces and split One into two. In this way the suit(s) become aware and are able to regard Self. A Whole in and of itself simply is. There’s no way for One to regard itself until the split when the mirror to gaze at and into appears. Since we’re looking at the 2 of Swords here this refers to our intellect and thought processes. We’re able to see ourselves and the others we engage with in truth and perhaps in a rather stark light. Points of view become clear, hidden agendas show themselves and previously unheeded communications take on resonance, volume and clarity. Words carry life energy and behind the symbols and sounds is a cacophony of meaning, intention and expectation. This week that energy is particularly well honed and the truth of our meanings will be heard, perhaps whether we want it to or not.
The East card is the Eight of Pentacles.
The Pentacles represent the element of earth and deal with our resources; time, energy, money and our physical body. This eight shows that we’ve been diligent in laying the groundwork, setting the stage and gathering all the resources we’ll need to deal with whatever fallout -or excited joy- our starkly lit truth has laid bare. This card councils patience. If a hornets nest has been disturbed, move slowly. If a grand opportunity has arisen, take the time to make sure all details are handled and possibilities have been explored. Our hard work has produced results and now it’s time to get with the program, whether new, old or refurbished and slot the pieces into their perspective spaces in our lives.
In Conclusion:
This week will be defined by honest communication and, with the Lovers at the center, we find ourselves holding an aura of grace. Though the communications we encounter may not all be sweetness and light there is an air of calm acceptance and a desire to find the continuity within ourselves so we can engage in full and candid interactions with others. The ability to also see the undercurrents and ulterior motives of the people we’re dealing with allows us to find that in looking honestly back at ourselves and our true feelings any hidden agendas carry less persuasive power than they did before we saw the true picture. From there we can make intelligent, informed and honest decisions.
Have a candid week!
