Masculine and Feminine Energies Explained

Lately I've had this constant vision of a man and woman standing together and although this may represent physical union for me it's also symbolic of inner union and balance with my feminine and masculine energies. One thing I see a lot of across the internet is about union between a man and woman counterpart ie. soul mate or twin flame, if you will! And part of the reason I see it is because I follow it, as I am on this path myself.

The biggest misconception we are fed through our lifetime however, which is becoming more deconstructed over time, is the fact that we need a male or female counterpart to 'complete' us when in fact we already hold both the required energies within, it's when we connect and balance these energies effectively that it manifests in the physical form of a relationship.

Recently I did a healing on a client and spirit guided her to step more into her feminine energy with clarifying it's not about being more girly or more manly, it's tapping into the energy to restore inner balance. The reality is this, both masculine and feminine energies need their place in our everyday lives and it's a place of feeling, as opposed to seeing that we channel and use these energies effectively, so as always I have been guided to break down the differences and importance of why these energies are relevant to our success, abundance and growth.

MASCULINE ENERGY

The masculine energy comes across as still, calm, certain, great at problem-solving, determined, goal-oriented, it is more focused on purpose, which is why men appear to often need to have a purpose for a conversation, a trip to the shops, and most especially for their lives. If a man (or a woman with a more dominant masculine energy) does not have a clue what his life purpose is, he will be restless and unable to commit to anyone other than himself until he knows his purpose. Masculine is also ruled by Mars, the action planet.

FEMININE ENERGY

The feminine energy is creative, nurturing, passionate, connected to nature, wild, enchanting, in flow, and loves to connect. This is why most women (who are embracing their feminine, many are living predominantly in their masculine and don’t even realise it) could talk for hours on end for no reason other than to connect. Their conversations don’t have to have a purpose, they just want to express themselves and share and delight in the company of others—especially their intimate partner who adores them. Feminine is ruled by the Venus, the planet of love and values.

When we are watching an emotional movie and shed a tear or feel openly heartfelt when we hold a new born baby, whether male or female this is feminine energy at play. On the flipside, when you wake up and know you have to get to the shops and do X, Y, Z for the day as a single mind focus that's your masculine energy at play.

Try and pay attention to when you're in the different energies and be mindful that no one energy is better than the other, as you can see with the above examples they both serve their purpose. Tapping into the acceptance that we need both energies to balance our journey allows us to step into a place of feeling more 'complete' without someone else needing to fill us up, it's holding the belief that as a woman we need a man or vice versa that holds us back from really owning our power that is the union of the masculine and feminine within us.
