5 Things To Do While At Home During Quarantine

The words stay-at-home and work-from-home have taken on new meanings during this time of solitude and quarantine. However, we can change the perspective by making a few simple changes. Let’s use this time wisely to get some things done around the house! Here are some things you can do to be productive and pass the time while staying at home:
1. READ MORE

Reading helps focus your imagination and can be very calming. The Bible, or whatever book you regard for worship, can be very comforting material during a time like this. If you don’t have an actual Bible, download the app! Prayer is the only way I see us getting through this!
2. ORGANIZE & CLEAN

Take the time to deep clean and disinfect rooms in your house. Remember dust holds germs and bacteria! Organize, even color code those drawers/cabinets you use often that tend to get messy – underwear, socks, silverware, pots/pans, makeup, seasonings. Pinterest has tons of ideas and DIY organization ideas that you can easily reference.

3. ENGAGE IN SOCIAL MEDIA

Update your social media pages and content. Look at the pages of your favorite social media influencers and brands and take note of their page formats. Make yours stand out! Connect your pages with a common theme. Branding and identity is everything, especially if you have a business. There are some nice social media templates on Etsy.
4. RECORD YOURSELF MAKING A SIMPLE MEAL

During this time, people are looking for quick meals and ways to preserve the food they have. Put your “two cents in” and get creative by showing people you can make something quick and tasty using the ingredients in your pantry. (Don’t forget to include the recipe – if it’s good I will post it on my Fashion Fruit Blog!)

You never know … it could become a viral sensation!
5. HAIR CARE & SKIN TREATMENTS

And last, but not least, it is also a great time to take care of your hair and skin. Give them a break from the hustle and bustle treatment we give it when we are out and about on a daily basis. You would be surprised how many home hair care treatments you can do using natural products you may already have in your house. Deep conditioning is an essential part of strengthening your hair, and you can leave it in while you are doing other things. Some great conditioners that I love are Creme of Nature, Argan Oil of Morocco Hair Mask, and It’s a 10 Miracle Deep Conditioner. Now, for your skin! Hydration, moisturizing, and rejuvenation are key to retaining a youthful look. Unfortunately stress not only kills, but it wears heavy on your face. It is important to remember not to stress but to be proactive. Speaking of “Proactiv”, I am a consultant for the skin care line that created Proactiv – Rodan & Fields! This line has the answer for every skin type and you are able to use a minimal amount for maximum results. I love the way it makes my skin feel – like I just came from the spa!!! Yes it’s a shameless plug lol, but would you want me to turn you on to something I have never tried? I didn’t think so.
