How to lose weight by the flick of a switch

Ok, let's get the disclaimer out of the way. Obviously, I'm not implying you can lose a pound every time you switch your kitchen light on here. If only!

So what the heck am I talking about then?! Is it some new technology that's going to be the latest craze? Not exactly. I'm actually talking about something you already have so it's free and it also happens to be the only thing you will ever need to finally lose the weight, have the best body you've ever dreamt of and gain absolute and complete freedom around food for the rest of your life!

I know that right now you're thinking "Here we go again. Another weight loss plan or product. Believe me, I've tried them all and if it sounds too good to be true then it definitely is!" Hear me out. I've tried and tested this with many people now including myself and it is a game changer and I don't use those words lightly. My disordered eating began when I was 19. At a very healthy and lean 8 and a half stone I was told that I was too short and fat to be a dancer and was sent home from my first (and only) professional dancing job. Over the next 15 years I would try every single diet and exercise plan under the sun failing more and more miserably each time. What I was doing to my body was completely screwing up my metabolism, slowly gaining more weight than I lost each round when I would inevitably "fail" the diet and go on a binge to make up for all the food I hadn't eaten. Even more devastatingly, I was breaking down my will power and motivation bit by bit until I created the belief that I was incapable of losing weight and I should resolve to being, by this point, very overweight at 15 stone.

I'm heartbroken for the girl that only wanted to lose half a stone all those years ago but was caught up hook, line and sinker in the diet industry's net. They had me exactly where they wanted me. Desperate to find the one thing that would magically work. The problem with the diet industry is that they are designed to keep you in that place so they can continue to profit from you. Whether it's a diet plan or an extreme workout routine, they all require an unrealistic amount of will power. They also depend on 'cutting out' something like carbs or fat which immediately puts your mind into a state of feeling lack and thinking that you're craving that thing.

If you want to end all of that insane nonsense and feel completely and utterly free around food there is one simple thing that can change your life like it changed mine.

A decision.

A decision that, once made, IS your diet, IS your exercise routine. It's the decision that enough is enough. It's the decision that it is time. Time to honour your physical body and treat it with the love and respect it deserves. When you make that decision, and I mean truly make it with every fibre of your being, then it is literally like flicking a switch. The endless fight in your mind is over. The guilt over every tiny bite of something "bad" vanishes. There are no longer bad foods and good foods. There is simply your decision. Your decision to have your perfect body. That decision is your new superpower!

Now the next meal you have becomes so much less stressful. You remind yourself of your decision to have your perfect body and the options become really easy. There's no whining and arguing with yourself that you want a McDonald's because it's no longer an option that aligns with your decision. There's no longing for the burger anymore because your decision to have your perfect body means you've made the choice and that's that. There's also no guilt around food anymore because you know that you can eat whatever you like. You're not restricting any food at all. You can eat any food group you want. It's your choice. Simply ask yourself if this aligns with your decision to have your perfect body. That's it.

It sounds too simple to work but try it the next time you eat and feel the change for yourself. Here's to your perfect body!
