Work Out With Me
I hate cardio. I’m only three posts in, and I’ve already said I hate cardio in more than one post. It’s not my thing. Never has been, never will be. You want me to run a mile? Kiss my ass. Walk a mile? If we’re talking like… walk to a restaurant or the nearest McDonald’s, then sure. Clearly that would defeat the purpose so you’re 99.9 percent never going to see me do cardio. On the off chance that you catch me doing cardio that 0.1 percent of the time, I’m probably doing like 5 minutes of HIIT intervals on a treadmill. Or going really slowly on a StairMaster.

My Experiences with IBS
Have you ever been nervous before a big event and had an upset stomach? Or right before a big presentation, spent most of it in the bathroom evacuating your bowels? But then, as soon as you have finished that speech or big event, you were perfectly fine. Now imagine suffering those symptoms 24/7 without relief. How to Count Macros
A macro—short for macronutrient—is either protein, fat, or carbohydrate. They're the three key food groups we need to consume for our body to function. By counting macros (aka, counting how much you consume in a day of each food group), you can lose weight, build muscle or just get healthier without having to restrict yourself so much.

Things to Start Doing If You Want to Lose Weight
I can go on and on about body positivity and the dangers of yo-yo dieting, but, at the end of the day, I'm someone who spends a lot of time at the gym. I pride myself on how many pull-ups I can do, and I'm way too happy to fit into slim-fit jeans. I talk to my friends and people I've just met about working out like the worst. Specific questions, goals, accomplishments—I just go on and on! But I also gain weight sometimes and have to start all over again, which is why I know all of these best things to start doing if you want to lose weight.

10 Things You Shouldn't Say to Someone with A Chronic Illness
I have a chronic illness called dysautonomia. As a healthy-looking young adult female, it was quite a bit of a journey to get that diagnosis. As I was on my way to my diagnosis, and now that I have it, I noticed some common responses from people I know regarding my situation. Whether it genuinely comes from a good place or not, many times these have left a bad taste in my mouth without them being aware of it. Having a chronic illness and dealing with a body that doesn't function conveniently is a struggle on its own, and having these unintentionally hurtful sayings cross our minds only adds to the stress load that already exists upon our aching shoulders. So, lo and behold, here are ten things you shouldn't say to someone with a chronic illness.

The Workout Gear That's Actually Worth Buying
I have tried in so many ways to get fit and healthy. I've tried going to the gym, working out at home (with bodyweight exercises), going for runs, going swimming, everything. I can never seem to stick to anything though, and a lot of the time I end up buying equipment that I think will magically get me to work out, but never does and I end up giving up and not using it. So, out of all of the stuff that I've used, here are the things that actually helped.

Living in Pain
I am a very active person. I have been seen I was really little. I went to dance from 3 to 7, then cheer for one year, then gymnastics from 8 to when I was in the middle of 5th grade. I go camping all the time I possibly can go. I can’t just sit around for very long. I have to keep moving.

15 Things They Don’t Tell You About Brain Surgery
Warning: adult language ahead (you are allowed to swear when you've had brain surgery). Nobody tells you what it’s like to have brain surgery. I mean, why would they? Nobody expects to have brain surgery, and most people don’t know a lot of people who have had encountered this unfortunate scenario. It’s not your typical topic of conversation. So, when it happens to you, you really don’t know what to expect. I’m here to tell the future brain surgery warriors and the families of the brain surgery warriors the obvious and not so obvious on the topic.

Short Term and Long Term Benefits of Yoga. Top Story - August 2018.
I've never been the biggest in fitness activities. From a very young age, I knew sports would never come naturally to me and hand-eye coordination was impossible. I did practice ballet for several years and, while I loved it, I still lacked a certain grace that others in my class had. Now I consider myself a sports admirer; I'll try anything once but I'll fail miserably and have that be the last. One 'sport' that I have fallen for (in a good way) is yoga.

How I Coped with Cancer
At the age of 42 and after many years of having symptoms which went undetected by the medical profession due to my age I was diagnosed with Advanced Bowel Cancer with a very large tumour. My treatment included eight rounds of chemotherapy and a major operation to remove the tumour along with the removal of two sections of the bowel and appendix as well as a full hysterectomy, this meant I was absent from work for twelve months. Thankfully recovery went well, I have now received the milestone of five years all clear. As you can imagine this was a horrendous time for me and my family but with the love and support of them all and my own quirky way of dealing with things I am on the way to enjoying everything about life.
