Losing It!
I always assume that there is nothing that I could bring to the table when it comes to being healthy, eating healthy, living a healthy life. It is something that I constantly struggle with on a daily basis, if not a minute by minute basis. I know everyone has their thing, their struggle, that everyone has read everything they can, and honestly, what can a simple woman like me bring to the conversation that isn't new??

What Is Reiki Good For?
Reiki is becoming more and more accepted as a form of healing, in spite of those who say it’s not real. That may leave you asking, “What is Reiki good for?” “What exactly is Reiki and how does it work?” Simply put, Reiki is a form of energy healing in which the practitioner places their hands above or gently on the body of the client to channel healing energy for the benefit of the client. Reiki can also be sent from a distance, which can be very beneficial for a client who is either too ill to leave their home or too far from a reputable Reiki practitioner.

The Living Deaf
Every morning I wake up feeling (as I’m sure many of us do) like a Neanderthal on the dawn of mankind’s leap towards civilisation: slightly groggy, primitive (especially in appearance…), but optimistic. Today things are going to really move forwards. On rising, I have breakfast and, before throwing myself off the metaphorical caveman bandwagon and out into the wide waters of the working world, I first—tentatively—dip my toe into the tepid shores of modern civilisation.

The Secret Fight No One Understands!
For years I've spent my days in and out of the hospitals, fighting this secret fight that no one quite understood. Daily I struggled to get out of bed because I had no strength to do that simple task. I spent years with people calling me a hypochondriac because there was nothing wrong with me on the outside. But on the outside looking in, you can see what is happening on the inside. No one could see the pain that was slowly crippling me, the fear that I felt when I ate, because even that had had me torn between two options; do I eat, because my body needs it, or do I eat and be in pain for the rest of the day? I know, some options, right?

Essential Tremor
Introduction Essential tremor—also referred to as “ET”—is considered to be both the most common of movement disorders and neurological conditions. Additionally, this is the most common underlying cause of tremors in individuals. There are several names by which this condition is referred. These include “hereditary tremor,” “benign essential tremor,” and “familial tremor.” In the medical community, the term “essential” means that the symptom identified does not have a known underlying cause. The term “tremor” is used to describe a rhythmic, involuntary shaking of a body part. While the hands are commonly the most impacted, the head, the legs, as well as the trunk of the body may be impacted, too. Additionally, a tremor may affect the voice.
