I always respected Japan, for the people who live there. Dr. Shigeaki Hinohara is an example of a wonderful man, who impressed me greatly.

He lived 105 years and worked in a clinic until the last day of his life. I have never seen such a wise man. Dr. Hinohar's advice is so important to our lives.

Here's this great doctor's advice on longevity and happiness:

Be happy

The feeling of joy is much more beneficial to the body than eating or sleeping. "Man does not gain energy from food or sleep. When we were kids, every time we played and had fun, we often forgot about food and didn't even need sleep. It also applies to adults."

Make sure you eat right

For breakfast, consume only a cup of tea, milk, or protocol juice with olive oil, nothing more. We can skip lunch or eat a little. For dinner, the best choice is vegetables or rice with fish. We need to reduce meat consumption. 100 g of meat once a week or a maximum of twice a week is more than enough.

Make plans

Make a note of your plans in a diary. All our thoughts materialize.

Share your knowledge

Dr. Shigeaki Hinohara held at least 150 conferences a year, lasting an average of one and a half hours. He kept them all standing

Doctors can't cure everything

"When a doctor asks you to do certain investigations or surgeries, ask him if he would recommend them to your loved ones."

Don't be lazy

Walking or cycling is more than doing nothing.

The couch is the most cunning enemy, the rest must be active. At the age of 105, Dr. Hinohara climbed the stairs twice at a time, thus stimulating his muscles.

Being active is important for both your mental and physical health.

Read a lot

Find the books you enjoy. They need to help you find your purpose in life. "We have to set great goals both in art and in life. If you want to draw a circle, it has to be so huge that your whole life is not enough. "

The hospital is not a prison

In today's hospitals, there should be a pleasant atmosphere, and music, dancing, pets can serve this purpose. Art therapy is better than any medicine.

Material goods are not the most important

As we pursue financial prosperity, we often forget more important things, such as love, care, or pity. "Remember, no one knows when the end is near, and you can't take anything with you from all material things."

Science, as an art

You can't help anyone with complicated scientific formulas and definitions. Diseases are related to the human soul, so their treatment must be different.

Get ready for the unexpected

Our body is capable of doing incredible things. Love and respect for one's own body are what make it possible to overcome all difficulties.

Unexpected events are part of life and can be great ways to improve personal skills.

Find examples to follow

For Dr. Hinohara, his father was this hero. "When I'm in a very difficult situation, I wonder what my mentors would do for me."

Long life is extraordinary

Enjoy every minute, every moment of your life. Let each day be better than the last. The greatest reward is that you live.

Dr. Shigeaki Hinohara died on July 18, 2017. Until the last day of his life, he cared for the sick.

It is not easy to understand the secrets of long and happy life and it is even harder to follow them. But this is the only way to live long. Share with your family and friends the wise advice of this great Japanese doctor.
